According to Private Eye, Italy, struggling to cope, has 32
Hospital beds per 10,000 people. The UK has 25.

Canada also has 25. We have a robust home care and clinic
system in Quebec but that doesn't help much when large
numbers of patients need hospitalization. It's gonna be a
bloodbath if it gets out of control, or... a phlegm bath?

I've not been to visit my ageing parents, mainly because of
virus, and yet who do I literally bump into this
afternoon in M&S...? My dad had in his basket marshmallows
and nothing else. I've never known them eat marshmallows.
There was other food in the shop....

opening hours, and found only 5 people before me, at the
time it opened there were at least 30, the time i got out 20
minutes later and there was a row of 50..

I have a new found appreciation for Italian people now, how
they aren't hoarding and panic buying and they are all
singing together

food is ok but as i said you have to develop some tactic as
all the supermarkets are resembling more the rows of the
charities who give out free meals to those in need

yeah, people are on full on panic mode here, I think people
in Italy are generally more laid back, I wish I was over
there now, just saw 627 people died in Italy in last 24
hours, unbelievably shitty news

saw some good news though a 95 year old woman recovered

i dunno man, if we're all going to get it over the coming
months and there's a 2% mortality rate (is the 50% in that
video just those going into hospital or in total?) i think
it might be

that makes me think of the gods who already had the corona
and did their time in quarantine. after that they could just
fuck around the block with their antibody bodies

livin the live. sell their blood. bring fresh pizza to teh

overall mortality rate in the general population is
something like 1 to 6 percent depending on circumstances,
18-20% of gen pop who become symptomatic need
hospitalization, and it sounds like 50% mortality rate is
for corona patients who check into that particularly
overloaded hospital
