snappy headline, lulz

Trump know strong businessmen like him will just get “the
sniffles”.

Why hasn’t waphevace been pointing how much this virus
discriminates and goes for the weak, the sick and the old.
And for someone to reply that it’s natural “cleansing”
and that nature does things well.

It's a matter of seconds before The Guardian drops an
article about how Coronavirus affects "communities"
more than privileged white folk. Owen Jones, the
joyless fucking twink, skirted the issue today by saying
it's the poor (that leftist dog-whistle) that
get it worst and also tries scoring some political points.
Which is always endearing.

yes. there's a giant parking lot with a church or something
that runs a daycare near by, usually i hear slamming car
doors and screaming kids from 8 in the morning until 7 at
night. they were going as usual, yesterday, but today has
been wonderfully quiet. i was wondering when it would sink
in that boxing dozens of people up with their kids in a
community center was something they should lay off of

meanwhile, the neighbors suddenly had a million cars show
up. nice social distancing, guys. now they're all gone.
maybe they went somewhere else for the duration. then i'd
almost have enough space to yell with no one hearing. if i
wanted to, anyways

instead, i'm just trying to quit cigarettes

This virus isn’t going to be around ten years. And even if
it was to be by then everyone would be immune to it.

Happy you’re debt free! Awesome!

People don't develop permanent immunity to this family of
viruses. Your immune response is gone months later.

Every single tour I’m working on for the next four months
has been cancelled. Oz/NZ, Europe, South America, North
America. Asia was already cancelled earlier this month.

Of course I’m welcome back when things pick up again but I
can’t afford to wait for that, I have debts etc so I have
to find something else and fast. I won’t pick up the job
again, it’s too risky at the best of times.

Everyone I know who runs their own business or is self
employed within the entertainment industries is fucked or
shitting themselves. My mates company went from being 80k in
profit this year to 70k in debt in 7 days. Totally crazy!

So you mean the Coronavirus family? Maybe from
The family but surely not a particular type, not unless it
mutates?

Yeah, the family. It's why there's no vaccine to "the common
cold" and you can get it every year, or possibly multiple
times a year. I'm trying to find the reference for you.

Yeah I understand that. But I’ve read a few times that
once you get this particular one, -Covid-19, you’re immune
to it. Ah well the info is all over the place, and I did
read this in Hustler!

thats kinda true, but thats the same with other influenza
viruses. they mutate all the time, thats why older people
need new shots every year

the problem right now is really only that its happening too
fast. if it takes 2 years until 75% of the world gets it its
fine. if its 1 year its very problematic. if its 6 months
its fucking hell

Most people who get it and survive will be immune in the
short term. Longer term, prrrrrobably not. And there have
been a handful of cases of people reinfected immediately.
Though those might be relapse, not reinfection.

Still trying to find you a reference, I've been reading
shitloads of stuff about this the last couple of days. I try
to make sure it's from reputable sources.

ah here we go

The epidemiology of coronavirus colds has been little
studied. Waves of infection pass through communities during
the winter months, and often cause small outbreaks in
families, schools, etc. (Fig. 60-2). Immunity does not
persist, and subjects may be re-infected, sometimes within a
year. The pattern thus differs from that of rhinovirus
infections, which peak in the fall and spring and generally
elicit long-lasting immunity. About one in five colds is due
to coronaviruses.

LAZY_HORROR

The thing I read, which I can't currently find, said that
immunity to corona viruses typically dissipates in as little
as 6 months, so that's in line with this NCBI info.
