^^ what he said. Though the idea of sitting in a room full
of potentially infected people is not exactly enticing.

Just went out to buy some booze, cos from tomorrow, the sale
of alcohol is BANNED for 21 days. 10 Litres of Wine and 12
beers. Should be enough.

seriously?!
thats kind of weird.
in all of quarantine i drank two margaritas,
on seperate nights.
gotta admit its rather untypical for me to drink at all
without the excuse of company though.

Think they’re worried about domestic abuse increasing or
sth with bored drunk husbands. Personally I don’t mind too
much, I can live without, but the wife was getting visibly
cranky at the idea of having nothing to drink. A cranky wife
is the last thing I need during lockdown :)

dunno, if you were a drunk wife beater,
then youll just be a wife beater on withdrawl, right?

but yeah it might be the idea to prevent upcoming alcoholism
during this time of temporary or starting unemployment or
depression. if this also results in less alcoholic
aggrevated violence, fewer corona parties and drunk teenage
or adult pregnancies, less alcohol abuse, its a benefit
aswell.

its kind of sad to be thought of being that irresponsible
though.

Yes, exactly, could make it worse!

It is a little patronising, though I think the country needs
it. After the presidents first speech, closing schools and
telling people to keep a distance. No-one paid attention or
took it seriously. So they brought in the army to discipline
the country like a naughty child.

Mobile networks will also be implementing full tracking on
phones for the gov to monitor.

while it might seem useful now to establish monitoring
or use military presence, it is exactly what must not
happen.
its opening the box of pandora.

I agree, it's a slippery slope. Next thing, Bill gates will
put chips in us and our every move/health status will be
tracked.

a few years back, actually its been 10 years already, when
it became mandatory to have a biometric pic on german health
insurance id cards. guess what the prankster dad of my
friend did? he sent in a picture of erich honnecker. it was
printed and used and we still have the card. he really was
something else.

don’t get tested repeatedly. He was only tested because he
showed symptoms. These people still hang out together, they
should get tested once a week

Hemangay, a University of Delhi student, hasn't heard his
boyfriend's voice for about a week.
The 19-year-old, who asked not to use his real name as he is
not out to his parents, lives with his family in New Delhi,
the capital of India. For the past few months, he's been
dating his 22-year-old boyfriend -- in secret.

i really hope CNN didn't pick the alias. fucking india

i decided to try instacart again. apparently, they're going
on strike tomorrow, and if i want to do this, now would be
the time. they're expensive and the person always gets at
least one thing wrong; sometimes more. you can't tip based
on the results; you have to specify the tip upfront, which
kind of defeats the point of a tip. it makes it feel more
like "how much are you willing to pay for me to get at least
one thing wrong, sooner than other peoples' shit?" and,
again, it's expensive, and 2/3 times the guy ignores the
delivery instructions and is confused when he goes to the
wrong door

so, anyways, i really want a turkey sandwich, and, heck,
let's try it.

instacart is asking me to pick substitutes for everything.
fine, ok, i'm flexible

then i click order and it's all: "thank you! your order will
arrive, er, sometime in april, we're not sure"

cancel cancel cancel.

what shit. i can just drive to the store in fifteen minutes
if i wanted

the whole crop of "gig economy" unicorns are facing a
reckoning now, i wager. is this rental scooter sanitized
after the homeless guy went around and retrieved it from
wherever someone dumped it? no? no thanks

to be more specific, it was like "saturday" and i'm just
thinking... "wait... today is... sunday?" and then it dawns
on me that this instacart thing is pretty fucked right now.
how will they know what the store will have in a week?
fool's errand

if i were to spin a conspiracy, it would be that trump has
already tested positive; decreed the diagnosis "fake news,"
classified it, buried it, sent dissenters to a field office
in sasketchewan, and then resumed shaking hands with
everyone in sight

if there were a dispenser by store doors with masks saying
"please take one" i would simply do it, no questions asked.
however, i don't actually have any masks, the stores are all
sold out, and hospitals are going nuts because they can't
get enough. then, yes, they say it doesn't help that much,
especially if it's not one of the high-test ones... so seems
a bit backwards...
