heathers 9/10, my mam let me watch this when i was in primary school, i can't have gotten a tenth of the jokes. belly laughs aplenty in this one now
stalker 9/10 as well, nature of being and evolution of humanity? d.u.n.n.o. it's an inscrutable one, lightest of touches. i've been thinking through the sorta parable quality of it all day, haunting as fuck. hopefully roadside picnic will be as good, i trust you juliette

Uncut gems - 4/5 - unpleasant yet gripping. Stayed with me afterwards.
Without a clue - 4/5 - Old Sherlock thing, best enjoyed with wife
Once upon a time in Hollywood - 4/5 - Good film for sure The dead don’t die - 3.5/5 (super easy going zombie movie - would be boring were it not for all the amazing actors)

Werckmeister Harmonies 4.9/5
haunting, moving, sinister, doomed, beautiful, comforting in the weird way standing quietly in a wrecked building on an overcast day can be comforting, just vibing
knocking 0.1 off the score because imperfection is more perfect than perfection

I’ve wanted to watch this for ages but am waiting for something better a DVD.
The Furies - 6/10 mostly for the amazing really slow face removal with an axe which made the guy who was trying to slyly watch the movie over my shoulder turn away.

It's a real crime it's not available on higher def. Still, it was worth seeing even as it was.
I'm going to read the book it was based on, The Melancholy of Resistance. Have the feeling it will be as mysterious as the movie though.

North by Northwest (in 1080p) - 5/5 - Love it
Barry Lyndon (in 1080p) -4/5 - Giving it 4/5 cos the blu-ray I watched showed the movie in 16x9 aspect ration. Im pretty sure it wasn't shot in that.

I watched that recently too, was pleasantly surprised by the old school martial arts movie vibe.
One Cut of the Dead - 8/10 my second attempt at watching this, couldn’t get through the first 15 times first time around but was advised to stick with it and it really pays off
Gemini Man - 4/10 movie 10/10 weirdness from watching in high frame rate

national lampoon's vacation finally realised that i can record stuff on my grandmother's virgin box, taped this film digitally last night and just finished watching it
chevy chase in his prime is my fucking hero, so witty and refined, all american without being a cunt. beverly d'angelo is hot, her tits are hot lol. the story is pretty funny. some of the visual gags are embarrassing things and there's a few creepy out of date jokes but it does make me laugh in places. john candy is in the end as a security guard. it was pretty funny to see them all riding the rollercoaster at the end.

ive got Andrei Rublev to watch on tv, love Stalker though, its really beautiful actually as all Tarkovsky films,
I remember watching the original Solaris with my dad when i was a teenager and him being quite drunk and him saying what the hell is going on constantly, i must admit i didnt appreciate it at the time either,

fuck me..2020 is part of the title... 2020. БЕЗЛЮДНА КРАЇНА - might as well say something now. Erm, it's...mostly in Ukrainian. We paid some money to watch it. Film is very low budget; about an abandoned Ukraine in the near future, focuses on people who have stayed and their outlook/political beliefs. A "mockumentary".

rewatched the Refn "trilogy" this weekend.
drive only god forgives the neon demon
'Only god forgives' moves up to the top spot for me, and Neon Demon down to the lowest. I liked it at first but now I've seen it 3 times, it doesn't get better, in fact, I've started to think it's a bit weak. Good photography and audio though.
