I have to say when i get on the internet today, whatever political persuasion it is, (I dont mean this site but like comments sections and other messageboard) everyone has a massive axe to grind or chip on their shoulder, its really mentally draining, everyone seems in a permanently pissed of or sarcastic state at all times. I would never want consequential free speech, but I dont think she's advocating anything malicious as far as I can tell. I wouldnt debate anyone about trans cos I simply dont know enough in the area of discussion, I have my own opinions but they are very fluid (no pun intended). I was just using that as an example Perhaps it is a golden age of free speech, Im just not a very emotional person, I dont get angry or pent up about anything, perhaps its just me, I can understand the rage and name calling, it seems counter productive in the long run, might make someone feel slightly better or self righteous for the time being, but doesnt resolve anything, well I dont think so |
