I feel like sponsoring a kid in africa would be better than
giving money to the looters in usa. Anyone know a decent
charity for this sort of thing? Not oxfam

conspiracy theories have a purpose - they usually are trying
to say something like 'the world is flat and if they are
lying to you about this....? they are lying to you about the
whole thing...which means we have to transcend this corrupt
system'

if free america really was stitched up by jewish globalists
then it means the current system is TOTALLY rotten.
impossible to work with. has to be abandoned. and therefor
we need to completely overcome and erase this system with a
drastic alternative. this is really routine. try and think
of a cult or a violent cranky political sect that hasnt said
this stuff

The one thing ive noticed in the world of conspiracy is they
are sort of shifting from soros now to bill gates, well
obviously cos Soros is an old duffer and probably sucking on
a worthers original

altering the world but what do i know

i know, i mean, there's very few if any conspiracy theories
that can't be boiled down to the elders of zion. tragic
failure of the imagination but that's the product they're
selling i suppose.

That's a very George Monbiot take, have you read Out Of The
Wreckage?

I checked that reporter's twitter, man, those were three of
the most cop-acting reporters I've ever seen.

Here's the story liberalism tells: humans are so cognitively
flawed that we cannot trust them to make their own
decisions; on the other hand, the market is the most
powerful information processing system known(*), therefore
we must not only defer to it but create an overarching
political regime that nurtures, and defers to, the market.

This was Hayek's story and it's been the dominant political
narrative since Thatcher and Reagan took power, accelerating
after the fall of the Soviet Union. You want to talk about
crusty old stories no one really believes anymore and an
inability to create new ones, look no further than
liberalism.

(* see Mirowski's Hell Is Truth Seen Too Late for more on this)

Moderation was the theme of Aristotle’s ethics. I know
he’s out of date in terms of philosophy and ‘listen to
this guy, his every word and treat it as gospel’ isn’t
exactly my cup of tea either. Capitalism in moderation is
not so bad. It’s the extremists in Tory party that
worship, the market instead of reading edmund burke. The tory
party is shit basically.

I bet capitalism will die out in the next 200 years, thanks
to religious innovations, new technology, scientific
ingenuity etc. There’s no need to be communist. Just look
after your neighbours etc

Well yeah this is what Marx thought, minus religious
innovations (what does that even mean)

Come to think of it though Marx saw a problem in the divorce
of the political from the civic that paralleled the split
between the religious and the secular - an ideal world where
people have rights, versus the shit everyday world of the
marketplace where we all exploit one another as commodities.
That could be viewed as religious innovation maybe.

i think capitalism might be able to sustain itself in a
perpetual cycle of collapse and recovery. a nice social
liberal democracy that would give me basic income for free
would be doomed, but i wouldn't mind so much as long as it
outlives me.

I wonder if a guaranteed income could work as a synthetic
value-in-motion to sustain things. Keep the ball in play as
profit margins approach an asymptote of zero and only
corporations like Amazon or larger can operate on economies
of scale.

I mean when Israel appoints a King. According to the old
testament prophecies he will abolish hunger and war.
Communism is like Judaism in a way but watered down for a
non Jewish audience. Even if you don’t believe in God
there’s people who follow the ancient Jewish laws. One of
those laws says appoint a king. A Jewish king of Israel is
inevitable whether you believe in God or not. I try not to
cling to any ideology. Communism causes starvation, fascism
causes nasty wars. One day we’ll all understand each
other.

anything is possible but I think fully automated luxury
communism is far more likely, if we don't nuke or poison
ourselves

I guess the nightmare scenario is that God isn’t real, we
all nuke each other to dust, and Earth begins to look like
Mars.

The super happy ending would be Jewish king, abolish all war
and hunger, make the barren land habitable, followed by deep
space travel and the conquering of death itself.

What would your super happy ending be? Robot slaves?

You’ve hit the nail on the head, anti semites don’t get
to experience the world to come. They go to a place called
sheol instead, a nasty place. Sleep is 1/60th of death.
I’ve said it before but I get locked in my dreams and get
touched and poked and stuff. The other night literally was a
grim reaper type of guy scaring the shit out of me.

(from which double-helixes float upwards) to her son (the
top of whose head has been replaced with an apple labeled
"GMO") and daughter (whose head is a potato for some
reason), with chemtrails visible through a large
window?[4]

...made me laugh quite hard, he sounds loopy
