Yeah sorry I realised after posting hastily. I just keep thinking that if I ever criticise “the goody two shoes partly creating divide and à future of “positive” censorship then you start to worry what side I’m on. A few years ago, being a lefty, I mentioned censorship being a real threat. And unlike dystopian novels telling us the right wil be at fault, as a lefty I can’t help but see the lefts involvement. It’s a dangerous time to think for yourself; and therefore a damgerous time for good art. And I don’t mean crappy art used to be clever. I mean the art that challenges you. The artist who think differently. Today it seems thinking for yourself is dangerous. It’s like the coin is spinning, but you can only choose one side. Yet it’s spinning. It takes guts today to understand that a) we known nothing and b) the truth is not in one safe place. |
