Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

I'm about 9 hours into it and I'm fearing I may be towards
the end, but I'm not really sure. I wish the game would go
on forever.

So far I think:

Metal Gear Solid > Metal Gear Solid 3 > Metal Gear Solid 2

The gameplay in the 3rd seems to be beating the first, but
the story in the first was so great it just really boosted
the overall experience of the game. The 3rd's story is
pretty good, but some of the weirdness of the characters is
a little too much, and a little too much like the 2nd game.

Got that? Ok.

Metal Gear Solid 2

after playing the 3rd one I wanted to go back and play the
2nd. I still don't really like it that much. The story is so
weak.

MGS3 is spectacular. I've already beaten it 4 times and I'm
not even close to doing everything I want to do. All the
camos, all the frogs, the 1001 ways to kill enemies and
bosses... freestyle solider hunting.

Heck, I replay the MGS games over and over just to hear all
the obscure Codec conversations... so much subtlety went
into these games. Kojima is out of of his mind.

I'd say my MGS foodchain is the same of yours. Maybe. MGS3
is really close to overtaking the first one for me, though.

Next game on my hitlist is Ghost Recon 2 for Xbox. Until
then, I still have to beat Jak 3 and Killzone.

Now playing "rallisport challenge 2" on Xbox and it's
frustrating the living hell out of me. I'm in champion mode
and literally every bitchin' little mistake you make is
costing you places cos A.I. drivers do everything perfect.
So if you're 9 minutes into a 10 minute course and nearly
there hitting a rock that spins you 180 you're probably have
to restart to get a result. I've already destroyed my
pillow, scraped off the wallpaper with my fingernails and
been shouting at my screen like a madman over faulty
co-driver instructions and yet I'm coming back for more.
Sign of a great game.

I finished Metal Gear Solid 2 a couple of days ago. My
previous comments may have been a bit harsh on it. Although
I still think it's the weakest of the series, it's not as
bad as I made it out to be. Upon the first two times playing
the story was just too overwhelming to make sense to me.
After giving it some time it makes a lot more sense, but
there are still parts I don't like and some thing that don't
make sense whichever way you put it. And the gameplay is
pretty weak at points. I'd give it a 8.5 if I'm feeling
generous.

Now onto Metal Gear Solid 3 again...

Replaying the old Resident Evil games in preparation for
Resident Evil 4 next month... can't fucking wait. I think my
fave is Veronica, just because of the sheer size. But RE1
feels special, crazy memories from 1996.

To this day, I still can't beat RE1 with Chris...

NHL2k5 on ps2. i'm 4-4-0-0 in my season as the kings. this
game seems to suffer from bizzare things like me beating the
red wings 6-0 then losing twice to the chicago blackhawks. i
mean, i like a challenge and i expect to lose, but it would
make more sense to lose to the best team in the nhl and not
the 2nd worst team twice. this is on all-star difficulty
(2nd highest) i just got it yesterday and i wanted to make
the season feel as if i was a rookie so i upped the
difficulty.

my brother bought KOF 2000/2001 - pretty old of course, i
don't think i would have bought it but good games... : )
(i did a which KOF character are you? quiz... and i'm Athena.)

and i bought Prince Of Persia Warrior Within, some deceiving
aspects (the voices... -_- also Shahdee looks much prettier
in cut-scenes/CG than in the "real" game (she's ugly in the
"real" game even!)...) but all in all, not deceiving and a
very good game so far. a good thing they improved the
fighting system. superb backgrounds as always.
pretty neat Shahdee & Prince wallpaper...

but the Z button of my second GC controller died, and my PS2
pad makes a annoying noise when i move/shake the controller
like there is a tiny metal ball or something moving like
that inside it : /

Killzone for PS2. It got lukewarm reviews after being hyped
up as the ''Halo Killer'' by some rag, but the game is
sexcellent, a real nightmare atmosphere. The thing I don't
like about Halo is the feeling that I'm fighting big goofy
muppets (WORT WORT WORT) in a glossy world, but Killzone is
gritty and mean. I think it got the shaft when the reviews
hit, the developers themselves never compared it to Halo and
it shouldn't be. Reminds me of Saving Private Ryan set in
the future.

Put Resident Evil 4 on preorder last week. And I just got
this game "Band Brothers" for the Nintendo DS. It's a music
game.

Basically you choose a song to play then you choose an
instrument. If you have multiple DS's then you can all pick
a different instrument and jam together.

Pretty fun stuff so far. I have the imported version so it's
tough figuring out the selection screens.

And I'm about half way through Metroid Echoes.

I'm liking it better. Different atmosphere, and some cooler
effects. The graphics are also slightly better. If you liked
the first you'll love echoes....but don't expect too many
new ideas brought to the gameplay.

Yeah those guys just have a weird vibe about them.

you like the whole Metal Slug gameplay you won't be
dissapointed.

:: RESIDENT EVIL 4 ::

Started playing Resident Evil 4 last night.

It's the best game I've ever played. Seriously. It blows
every other Resident Evil away. Graphics are great, best
I've seen. Gameplay is so fun. While not horrifying it is
very intense. GET THIS GAME!

I'm only up to the second level but evrything about it
screams perfection.
I can't wait too get the hell out of work and do some more
playing.
