I like stuff like that too. A mate had an old game called
"Stunt Island" that was fairly similar. Really good fun, we
used to recreate scenes from films like the bike/truck chase
from terminator 2. You should be able to find it on an
abandonware site.

Ever play Onimusha 3? I think that's the best one, even
though they totally waste Jean Reno and the potential for
the first video game ''buddy movie''.

i'm playing it now and it's one of my favourite games for my
new slimline ps2 :x

if anyone pays attention to me, you may recall constant
whining about a lack of the second playstation. how did i
get it?

i sold my xbox. i'll only miss the sega games (which i'm
keeping for collecting's sake).

last night i learned that samanosuke is played by kaneshiro
takeshi, star of house of flying daggers. that added a notch
to my enjoyment of the game.

Club 3 - Dub Edition.

Next games: GTA San Andreas (been waiting for the xbox
version) and Moto GP 3.

I'm replaying it on normal again (trying to save enough for
the Chicago Typewriter), but also have a game I've started
on hard (should be called "bloody impossible"). I've done
Assignment Ada, but haven't managed more than 3 stars on The
Mercenaries. How are you doing?

arrived to 700.000/1.000.000 Ptas) it is hard! and i've
finished the mercenaries and assignment ada.

btw: i'm playing to hard mode.

enjoy RE4 for WooferAttack! he's playing it for the first
time!

That is SUCH an awesome game. Those GBA Castlevanias are
little treats, they are. If there was a new one every month,
I'd beat them all and probably never get bored of them.

I am replaying Devil May Cry 3 and trying to up the ante,
but I just don't have the skillz to compete with this game.
I'm going to get Xenosaga Episode 2 pretty soon and pour my
soul into it.

I haven't played harmony of dissonence or circle of the moon
yet, are they similar to symphony of the night? I know one
of them is more NES traditional, with the whole belmont whip
thing. Right now im in the arena in aria of sorrow, this is
a GREAT game!

As for xenosaga, I'm a little ignorant and displeased with
it. Xenogears was the best RPG ever made (in terms of
storyline). I played through xenosaga episode 1 and thought
it was total shite. Albedo was the worst antagonist in an
rpg ever (bland, boring, and totally psychotic). I refuse to
play any more of them, even if they do shed some more light
on the zohar modifier or wave existence. Yasunori Mitsuda
refused to be a part of the project, need i say more?

this game special.

If you read the times or the independant, it's 'Su Doku'.

Tridenti: a mate who has got 2,000,000 says to get
the typewriter, rather than the infinite rocket launcher-
apparently it's too easy to kill ashley/yourself with the
rocket launcher, so it's only really useful against bosses.
I'm on 800,000 (if I sell a couple of my weapons that I'm
hanging on to, till I get the typewriter).

Anyone played TT Superbikes on the PS2? I've been hearing
great things about it, wondering if it's worth getting a
second-hand ps2 for, in order to play?

sometimes I play the Pro Pinball series, really good
pinballs with excellent physics, but I think it's better to
play those with cathodic screen, otherwise with LCD screens,
you feel the flips are delayed. (at least 25 ms ones but now
they are faster)

MLB2K5 for ps2. It's pretty good, but not done as well as
NHL2K5 with all it's options and such. I won't buy from EA,
so it was either 2k or 989 studio's baseball game (which i
hear is quite good), but I chose 2k because of how good the
nhl game is.

Also, I just went to 4 different EB Games stores in my area
to get ICO. Only one store had a copy and it was scratched
really really badly, so I didn't get it. I just ordered it
from some store in NY through amazon.com

Only 17 bucks with shipping. brand new as well. yay!

I like to have a non-sports game to switch off to whenever
I'm playing a season in a sports game.

9 times out of 10 if I buy a game used, I don't finish it.
If I only pay 10 bucks for it I see it as much less of a
commitment than when I spend $50.

Reminds me I have to go finish Doom 3- paid $60 for the
collector's edition and I haven't touched it in 3 weeks

well erm perhaps i didn't explain it too well. it was 29.99
plus tax, roughly 31 - 32 bucks. i had twenty something in
gift cards, so i only paid 11 bucks cash

i wasn't going to use the gift cards for movies so uhm it's
like i only paid 11 bucks

Its much harder then the second game in that way that the

past enemys is harder now in general.I think there where
more varied and fun missions in the second game to

Walmart has like one million copies of Ico for 5 bucks. They
just GIVE AWAY great games like Ico, Beyond Good and Evil,
Otogi, etc. Nobody like them.

Who's getting MGS3- Subsistence? I'm annoyed that they're
draining me but... I can't wait for it, I'm such a sucker.
That moveable camera is something I've coveted for a long
time. I've always thought the only flaw in MGS gameplay was
the ''video gamey'' camera. Also looking forward to the
online and the two original Metal Gears.

Right now I'm replaying Killzone, mostly because the E3 hype
made me nostalgic for it.

zone of the enders: the 2nd runner. one of hideo kojima's
non-mgs masterpieces. yeah, i know he 'only produced' it but
it's obvious that had a lot of direct involvement.
everything from the extra-long opening game trailer intro to
the menus to the badass mechs designed by yoji shinkawa, the
character and mech designer for the mgs series, screams
kojima. it's a thousand times better than the first game,
which i also enjoyed (and a lot more than other people since
i don't mind playing a two hour long game). it's pure action
and pure fun, sprinkled with many anime/story sequences that
are nowhere near up to par with mgs but really makes you
feel like you're playing an old school giant robot anime.

the director of 2nd runner (different director than the
first game) is the guy kojima chose to direct mgs4, then
decided to co-direct it with him instead. you can really
tell the dude is kojima's student and successor in
training.

anyway, incredibly rare game but worth finding, especially
if you're a dorky kojima fan. as you should be.

it also has some great, though not necessarily memorable
music in it. one of the songs sounds like a remix of the mgs
theme.
