Right now I'm dabbling in Motorstorm Pacific Rift's stupidly
fun online mode, and trying to come to grips with Little Big
Planet's create mode. But man does that burn a day away,
hours spent fiddling and I can only create clusterfucks
populated with props other people made because I hit an
engineering snag myself or just plum ran out of patience.

Gradius done in LBP, some people are seriously inventive and
disciplined with this game.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition.

I tried playing the original Witcher when it was released,
but it was pretty bugged and the loading times were
excruciating, so i gave the game up right after the
tutorial.

But they seem to have fixed loading times and bugs in
Enhanced Edition, and i'm having a great time now. It's a
very good RPG, bar none. Actually, it's one of the best i've
played in a long time.

If you're just remotely interested in RPGs, play this.

Got Batman- Arkham Asylum for PS3 yesterday, it's pretty
nice. Probably the closest thing to a "Batman simulation".
There were other good Batman games for 8 and 16 bit systems,
but they were mostly generic action platformers with Batman
sprites. Now you actually get to do shit that Batman would
do.

Also cleaning up my PS2 backlog, playing Shadow of Rome,
which is awesome campy fun but so annoying in parts that I
doubt I can finish it. And I played through part of Final
Fight Streetwise which is the worst game ever.

That's it! I must have been really into trannies when I was

Still playing Batman, pretty meaty game for this genre and
lots of extra mini-games and collecting crap for the OCD
crowd.

got a pretty good sized list at the moment (all for PC)

Baldur's Gate 2: Throne Of Bhaal (soooo lonnnngggg-- but
good-- advice: don't play BG1, BG2 and the expansion back to
back to back)

Braid (awesome in a lot of ways)

Tony Hawk 4 (I just got a controller for my PC. Fun game.)

GTA4 (I already beat the storyline, just slowly working on
the 100% completion)

Max Payne 1 (still fun like 10 years later-- although the
graphics have taken a real hit)

Sims 2+14 expansions (...pirated of course-- I'm not paying
20 bucks for little versions of Ikea furniture)

I have the second episode of Tales of Monkey Island to play
also but I wanna finish Braid first

Also I recently got sims2 + all the expansions and stuff
packs (torrent of course), + 1.2gigs of mods.. My game is
totally bloated now but I love it.. so much variety, so many
options!

During my gathering of arcade games I remembered
this movie and the
arcade machine featured in it. Although I had never seen it
in any arcade or galleria, I knew it had to be a real game
of some sort because it looked so complete in the film.
Turns out it was indeed a game, developed by Atari, but
never released to the public. The guys at roguetrader have
done a faithful freeware recreation, and I'm dying to play
it, but can't get it to work. Just thought I'd post about
its existence here, in case anyone else remembers it.

just wanted to play em in sequence I guess ;p

Yeah there is a lot of content across those Sims expansions.
You going with a custom neighborhood or a preset? I'm doing
custom, even down to my university. Well at least I was...
truth is I got a little bored of it over the last couple
weeks and haven't played much.

I finished Braid pretty quickly. Some really solid design
went into that game. I should get around to actually paying
for it.

I've been playing Fuel a lot. Don't understand why there's
so much hate for that game. The races are cool and the vast
world is just breathtaking.

Also Shatter and WipEout Fury. And Super Stardust PSP.

I thought about going the custom neighborhood route, but
there were new neighborhoods added by maxis since I last
stopped playing the game, oh, several years ago, so I went
with one of theirs. I wish I had the time and patience to
make my own kick-ass custom neighborhood. Actually, I'm in
the same boat as you. I haven't played the game in a few
weeks since I came to the realization that my ultimate goal,
to form a band with every instrument in the game, is
impossible due to the way the game was programmed. With that
dream dashed, the game is back to being an analog of the
tedium of everyday life, so while I have a place for it both
on my harddrive and in my heart, I don't know how much I'll
ever actually play it. Building houses is still fun, though.
:)

Nice!

I'm playing GTA Chinatown wars on the DS. It's very
enjoyable.
I still have the first edition of the DS so finally decided
to upgrade and got the DSi. It's pretty sweet but there's
not GBA slot.

Did I mention I got the Last Starfighter game working? I was
missing a DLL file but I fixed that. The only problem with
the game is that I'm pretty sure it forces you to use
keyboard and mouse, which isn't something I normally take
issue with, but for a game that's clearly an arcade rom
reworked (it even boots up in the exact same way as some
arcade roms I have), I would like an option to configure it
to use my controller. In fact, what I'd really like is for
the game to just be repackaged as a rom that MAME (Multiple
Arcade Machine Emulator) can read, so that I can just run it
through that and have a slew of graphical, tactile, and
gameplay options that the .exe the game is packaged with
does not and can not offer. Those quibbles aside, it seems
to be the game from the movie, in all its retro glory, and
I'm glad to have tasted a slice of film prop and gaming
history. :)

Great game, I confess I skipped the later puzzles. 4 fucking
Clanks to keep track of, they got too time consuming. I just
wanted to blow shit up with Mr. Zurkon. I'd play those
