Japes from London on 2001-06-15 18:25 [#00009835]

More drawings:

Moo Kid - Not the best idea for an enemy, but
interesting nonetheless.

Cordialatron [Aborted] - Started off okay, but then I
realized that this enemy has no real character.

Phlange Phace - Phlange, as well as being an audio effect,
is also slang for vagina, hence the speaker eyes and the
vaginal mouth.

Japes from London on 2001-06-15 18:28 [#00009837]

*** Correction! ***
Links above don't work. Here are the real links. Sorry!

Moo Kid // Cordialatron // Phlange Phace

Organ Grinder from my own little fantasy world on 2001-06-16 07:36 [#00009929]

KICK-ASS concepts, Japes! I dig them! REFLEX, you need to
see these.

I had some sketches for Phlange Phace already but mine where
more static-electric monster oriented.
(A FLANGE is also an audio filter)

Keep up the good work, Japes! Appreciate the help!

|REFLEX| from Western Canada on 2001-06-16 08:25 [#00009935]

I checked them out, and yes they are good indeed! Please,
email them to me.. thanks alot. That way its more
accepted... and for certain legal issues. Thanks!

titsworth_courier from washington, dc on 2002-01-10 08:34 [#00067959]

i agree, this is fantastic. i can't wait to play it. hehe i
had an idea.. when squarepusher pulls up in his red hot car,
the melody of the song should play on the car horn.

a couple friends of mine and i were working on an rdj rgp
several months ago. we used a program called rpgmaker2000.
the story involved richard saving the planet by uniting with
his dead brother to form The Aphex Twin. Mu-ziq and
Squarepusher and DJ Shadow were party members.
We got really far on concept art but never followed through.

offline zaphod from the metaverse on 2002-08-28 04:22 [#00368367]
Points: 4428 Status: Addict

oh yeah. there were various spells we had programmed. one
was 54 cymru beats, an endgame spell. it literally hits the
opponent 54 times, dealing so much damage that their is no
recovery. You have to be the Aphex Twin to perform it
though, and that doesn't happen until the end of the game.

what about a milkman spell, where you grab the enemies tits,
and milk em!!! :)

offline zaphod from the metaverse on 2002-08-28 04:30 [#00368371]
Points: 4428 Status: Addict

heh. milkman was a summon spell, as was Daddy, Logon Rock
Witch, and Alberto Balsalm.

Alberto Balsalm should be this super shampoo that when you
wash the enemies hair, it burns through their head!! :)

offline zaphod from the metaverse on 2002-08-28 04:32 [#00368373]
Points: 4428 Status: Addict

Alberto Balsalm was this suave looking guy who took shampoo
and poured it on people, who then floated away in bubbles,
which aphex twin would pop.
if i can find his sprite on my hard drive i'll post it.

if anyone is actually going to do this thing, i can design
characters easy. i've been drawing since i was a fetus, and
i have all the stuff necessary to do either rendered
illustrations or 8-bit style characters, sets, etc... (id
preffer doing 8-bit style, cuz its fun!)

so whoever is in charge of this, if you're actually gonna do
it, im in!

my services are at your disposal

I have a soft spot for ''faux pas 3-D'' pre-rendered
backgrounds, ala Resident Evil and Final Fantasy 7-9. But I
also have a soft spot for super deformed 16 bit sprites. My
head is going to implode.

offline tibbar from harrisburg, pa (United States) on 2003-09-05 09:50 [#00851370]

yeah, i could do 16 bit.

not hard at all

I also offer assistance. Preferably in the field of
engine-coding-shiznit (not as in programming one from the
ground up, but as in writing the internal scripty thingies
for the premade engines). Or something.
