I can write story, lvl design, and supervise! I'd like to
see more ppl in the plot development dpt before i can
speadhead this project. I'd also like to get some tutoring
on game programming from anyone who's willing to help.

check. i'm going to set up a general brinkster account so we
can store the concepts there. i think we should work on what
we got, and i think as more ppl become interested, they will
assist. but i will make the account available to everyone so
they can upload what they want when they want, instead of
waiting for someone to do it for them.

is 30 MB sufficient for now - it's no ads, btw, but you must
know html programming.

interested in spearheading this when more ppl have signed
on. but as of now, we are all on an equal playing field in
terms of position.

im using adobe photoshop 6 and illustrator 9. mostly
photoshop (it's my first true love).

im not keen on doing backgrounds (never tried before), but i
could help polish them up and give them continuity with my
sprites.

now, of course daddy needs to be bigger and still needs
work. im gonna do his "metamorphosis" with the other face
and a different pose (more grotesque). rock witch isn't done
(need to do computer, she also needs to be bigger).

If I'm not mistaken, I thought you were making this on PS1's
RPG Maker.....??

This sounds to me like you are not.

What is the case?, I think I'd like to help out, I could
contribute many concepts, ideas, and things....
Maybe some minimal rendered backgrounds, or some vintage
RPG-style music.
The idea is brilliant, I've tried making simple RPGs on Ps1
and also RPG Maker 2003 on PC. Got about 2 % into it, and
gave up. I had the whole world map design drawn up,
characters, and other things, it just take way too much
time....

maker 2000 (couldnt get my hands on 2003.. but i figured
2000 was just as good)

btw: i dont know how into this idea everyone is, but i
figure the calxes (blue, green, yellow) would be elements or
gems or something that would enhance spells. got some yellow
green and blue orb sprites for that, if everyone is down
with the idea.

just brainstorming and having fun. of course, this will all
have to be planned.

yet another update:

i finished the paradinas "mini" and polished rdj and tom's.
made rock witch taller (i thought she was just a wee too
short). i think im gonna start on some weapons next, but not
tonight. i'm fricken beat. plus, i don't wanna get ahead of
myself.

btw: i haven't uploaded any of this, and prolly won't until
i can get the thing sorted out with putting these on
JAroen's webpage for the rpg.

out there... since i'm doing character/weapons.

JAroen, et all: updated the rpg page with all my currently
"finished" sprites.

joakim: thought about that, too. sound bites from songs?
drum fills, etc? that would be pretty darn cool, but might
be a legal problem. as far as level musics... midi versions
of twin stuff? melodies from mars stuff? selected tracks
from his catalog? remixes? there are tons of possibilities
for music.

lets do music last. i feel that music from the artists
themselves is a bit cliche.

sound effects are a must. we definatly need sound effects,
and i feel that this can be done simultaniously with the
graphics development. they can very eaisly influence each
other.

The same can be said for the soundtrack. If i hear some dark
and eeire synthetik piece that kicks my eardrums' drums,
then i might be inclined to come up with a level setting
that something out of sleepyhollow meets cyber punk.

if the game can BE that statement, then it's gonna be CRAZY
GOOD!!!

btw, whoever is "IN CHARGE in charge" (nano? oddio?)... i
hope you don't mind my developing these ideas for
characters/weapons so quickly. i'm just on a roll TOUGH. i
plan on bearing straight ahead with these ideas and really
plowing through the sprite design. criticism is always
welcome, changes can always be made, characters can be
tailored/discarded... i'm just having a ton of fun.
