must remember to play these games we bought:

metroid prime, f-zero gx, mario sunshine, a godzilla game
and viewtiful joe...oh and resident evil.

a poster here didn't like his gamecube and kindly bought it
over for me when he came to visit, with a few star wars
games, mario kart and the zelda one.

result!! :)

Playing through Breath of Fire- Dragon Quarter for PS2. Not
a bad RPG at all, but it's no Breath of Fire 2 (SNES). I
also played a game of NHL '94 for Genesis this morning... I
play a game of that almost every day now. Best hockey game
ever, as far as I'm concerned. ESPN is flashier, but that
whole game basically boils down to the same 2 or 3 scoring
plays, the only ones that work... you can score in about 15
different ways in '94, contrary to popular belief.

I'm going to grab the Ninja Gaiden Hurricane Pack in a
little bit and play through that mind boggling game again...
supposedly, it's ever harder than before. That's just wrong.

the latest games i finished were Metal Gear Solid Twin
Snakes (pretty good, though i prefered MGS2 and i'm not sure
it's worth buying if you have the original MGS1) and Prince
Of Persia: Sands Of Time (definitely one of the best 128-bit
games ever)...

now i'm playing:
· Zelda Master Quest (Ocarina Of Time is my favourite game
ever, it was a good idea to make a new harder version!)
· SSX3 (very fun = ))
· still trying to beat this goddamned final boss in Metroid
Prime again (why must all games end by a final boss?? it
must be me, but sometimes i'd like to have a final level
after... Metroid Prime was really great though, i just must
beat it)
· tried F-Zero GX again but i lost habit... and lost hope
to beat the cups in Master mode to get AX cup... well, i'm
having more fun in easier modes anyway

by the way, i need new n64 controllers, mine are all fucked
up... but i can't find them for cheap anywhere -_- and i
won't buy non-official ones, i made the mistake of buying
non-official snes controllers because i couldn't find
official ones some weeks ago and i regretted it (the
directional pad is crap compared to the official one, i even
prefer using my old controller with L, Start and Select
lacking response)...

my brother is into RPGs, he'll probably buy Disgaea as soon
as he gets the monkey.

"ikaruga
all other games pale in comparison to this one"

> ikaruga is a great shooter, yes... difficult without being
too frustrating, which is a rare thing (not having to re-do
all the level when you die is probably a lot for this
non-frustrating thing!!), minimalistic, great level
design... it also has good music, and i usually don't like
orchestral BGMs...

speaking of shooters, does anyone here have played Shikigami
No Shiro II? is it worth it?

(i'd also love to have a "real" (3d-shooter) Starfox game
for gamecube...)

dungeon keeper 2

apart from it being a very addictive and challenging game,
the extra bits & pieces are great fun. extra levels that
only appear at night, daft levels (a golf game) which have
nothing to do with the game. and last night at 1am, the
whole gameplay stopped while 'disco inferno' played all the
way through, and all the monsters started to disco dance for
5 minutes.

LMAO @ Captain America game. Avengers right? As for
me...well I JUST literally got my gaming PC built today, so
I gotta try out a whole bunch of games. Doom 3 should run
on max settings in a high resolution now and UT2k4 will run
amazingly. So let's see....

PC:
Ragnarok Online
UT2K4
Doom III

PS2:
Silent Hill 3

That's it at the present time. I need to get back into
playing console games big time. I keep debating if I should
start a quest in FFX-2, but I never get around to it.
There's so many games I have that I need to start and so
many unfinished.

Well, I'm on my new PC now after some trouble getting the
damn network drivers to function. My gigabit lan on my mobo
isnt working with my Cat5e wire, so I'm just using a nic
card. Anywho I'm installing Doom 3 right now, but I just
got done trying out UT2K4 and ir runs PERFECT on all the
highest settings and max resolution. That's a big step up
from normal/low and 1024X768 that I'm use to. So far I'm
stoked. Now I just gotta tweak Windows XP.

And yes, I remember always wanting to rent that avengers
game...looks like fun, Heh!!

J198 > F-Zero GX is one of the games that really *impressed*
me when i saw it for the first time. manages to be really
fast and fluid AND to have kick-ass graphics, unlike F-Zero
X on N64 which were fast and fluid but had really poor
graphics... about the gameplay, it's really "nervous", and
the fifth cup is really hard to unlock - the gameplay
is much like F-Zero X, but the circuits have more
"personality" i'd say - each track of the diamond cup has a
special gimmick for example... one possible flaw would be
that often, you die because of the circuit (fall out and
die) rather than because of your ranking (also, the first
Big Blue race is much harder than the two difficulty stars
it has, there are tricky snaky turns you don't see coming in
a tunnel which is pretty hard). but all in all it's a very
good game.

Relatively old school nerddom. I'm not a Star Wars fanboy

I just finished Terranigma on the Snes. It's a great RPG,
not incredibly cheesy either but the ending was sad, it
almost bought a tear to my eye.
I played some Doom III, I was impressed by the graphics on
the highest quality mode, then I got bored. Roll on HL2.

"speaking of shooters, does anyone here have played
Shikigami No Shiro II? is it worth it?
"

I have it (the special edition, with the toy figure of a cat
:)).

It's a very good shooter! Not as difficult as Ikaruga, but
still plenty challenging. I like how your weapon becomes
more powerful when you fly as close to enemy fire as
possible. It's insane, the game actually rewards you for
playing as dangerously as possible.

Also it's one of the few import-friendly, japan-only
gamecube-games. Which was reason enough for me to get it.
Those japanese boxes are so cute, much better than
the standard DVD-cases we get. :-/

I've been playing Harvest Moon - A Wonderful Life. It's
really good and very charming... but not perfect. Not nearly
enough variation in dialogue with the other characters (just
the same text, over and over again), the controls are a
mess, the music is tedious. Also it's too easy imo. At this
rate I think I'll have a maximum-upgraded farm in a couple
of years time, whilst I think I've heard the entire game
lasts about 30 years. Those last years are going to be
boring... ah well. I still love the feeling of running a
farm though. And the little kid that gets born as your son
is sooo cute! :)

I've also been playing Burnout 2 alot. Fantastic race-game.
The controls are just perfect. Sliding through corners
actually feels better than with Mario Kart!

Can't get enough of F-Zero GX either.

Last week I bought Metal Arms: Glitch in the system. It
looks promising, but I haven't really sat down with it to
properly play it for a few hours.

Also still playing Animal Crossing.
