good game.
i didn't think so much of van der Meyde but thought robben
was great.
the referee was on another planet.

Damn! i started watching this interesting match tonight but
i am at my parents house and they wanted to watch "Mystic
River" on video. =(

Judging from what i saw of the first half both teams looked
really good .
What a big fucker the Czech had in attack position , i have
never seen such a big fotball player ever in any match.
He must be priceless when it comes to winning in the air so
to speak.

my intention?
i honestly think that neither czechs or dutch can compare to
top teams...im not attacking anyone here...it's just for
fun...probably i have no idea about football, so why you all
take me so seriously? :)

heh yeah... there was a semi-comical moment between davids
(shortest player in euro2004) and koller (tallest player)

I didn't think much of van der meyde either, thought he
should've come off instead of Robben.

lets all listen to nacmat:

ok, when I see football matches I take off my pink cap.

netherland played fine, but the substitutions advocaat did
where shit, how come makaay hasnt played one single minute
yet???
advocaat killed his team with the changes
also the referee was shit

but the truth is that with 2-0 and even 2-1 netherlands had
lots of chances to score and finsih the match but they didnt
and in front of them they had the best team in this
championship so far

ok lets talk aout the Czechs:

they always play aattack, always... even when they win...
they never think of defense and I love that.
they play a wonderful football, as a team and with great
players:
nedved is in the top 3 players of the world right now for
sure

but apart from him the team has a genious (old but great)
like povorsky
a great striker (very moving and fast, what a second goal
man) like Baros
and the great and large koller, who is a lot better than
what you can tell by his size

then we have rosiky, galasek, heinz and yankulasky??spell??

well, a very solid team, with some nice names and a real
crack

and apart from this a great coach.

we must not forget that they once won this championshio when
they were the same country a slovakia and they have been in
two other finals (last one in 96 where povorsky and nevdev
already played great)

Czech republic has been the best team of the championship
imo "so far"

That referee was a fucking idiot. HOlland should have had a
penalty for the violation against van Nistelrooy and
Heitinga shouldn't have gotten the 2nd yellow card.

I was so annoyed

the referee was spanish, and I tell you spanish referees are
the worst in the world

the problem here is that you are doing with football what
you hate to do with music:

you are just looking at the name or colour of the shirt, but
not the real quality of the game

so far zcechs and swedish have played the best football in
this competition, but still you wont see them, you just care
for the big names (in football)

its like only listening to the big labels in music

nicely put nacmat.

tolstoyed, england hasn't shown good football imo and they
always seem to fail when it comes to these big tournaments
although they seem to have excellent players.

actually i honestly think france and england are best teams
on this euro cup...they seem to be the strongest, although
france played very bad against croatia...i hope that doesn't
happen again...

France maybe but England?? What matches have you been
watching.

If Italy play as well as they did the other day they will
win it.

i'm not sure i agree with tolstoyed, the tcheks are very
strong and i always like holland. the swedes arent doing bad
either.
italy are ok, i have never liked their style though.
tonight should be a good game between spain and portugal.
amazing that one of them will be out already, hehe.

i'd love the swiss to beat the french, doubt that will
happen though. i would be so happy.

if portugal & greece win, spain are out? nobody seems to
know on english tv. figo is having a great game so far,
spain need to play better in the 3nd half.

ok, if the results stay the same as they are now, spain
finish 1st and greece finish 2nd

which means..

if france & england win tomorrow (which they probably will),

england vs spain (thursday)
france vs greece (friday)

i have to say though, Spain looked terribly average in this
game,

i wonder what will happen in the Italy game, if sweden and
denmark draw 2-2 they both go through even if italy win.

yeah, spain were disappointing.

deco was worse tho, he's been so crap this tournament.

amazingly, greece go thru :D

it wouldn't surprise me if croatia beats england tomorrow...
not that england is a bad team, but croatia is actually a
very technical and creative team.

and italy is so afraid of getting kicked out of this
tournament so all they're talking about is a potential 2-2
results between denmark and sweden. they should concentrate
on their own game against bulgaria which might be a hard
one.

oh, and i think deco and ronaldo are the best portugese
players so far...

did you see croatia vs. slovenia matches? they won by one
goal on aggregate, and slovenian (our) team was/is
shit...probably one of the worst teams ever. anyway, croatia
played surprisingly good against france, but still i think
it's going to be very hard to win england...

yeah, but it wouldn't suprise me. technically skilled
teams are the worst opponents for england.... they don't
like that, especially with their slow mid-defenders.

heh, they're missing ferdinand...croatia can be dangerous
when it's going tough for them...it's just what they did
against slovenia :)
