czech would have a chance if there were 10 nedved's in the
team...but since it isnt so they will get kicked out soon

im not sure which one, i remember they had koller (the tall
one) and roszicky (not sure how it is spelled, he's the
young one...not sure if he's still at borussia tho)

they're a nice team i agree, but they dont stand a chance
against stronger teams

nedved-poborski-jankuloski

czech is really a good team, but holland and germany are too
much for them i think.

thats it:

Pavel Nedved
Karel Poborský
Tomáš Rosický
Jan Koller

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-12-01 10:19 [#00972483]
Points: 50073 Status: Moderator | Followup to nacmat: #00972474

they're all alright, but poborsky and koller are not in
theor best years anymore, and if nedved doesnt have an
excellent day i doubt they could do something against
holland ot germany - but there are always some surprises so
perhaps they can do something

looking at those names, they seem pretty impressive, and i
think they have an excellent goalkeeper as well

above all they are a tight cohesive team and they play fine
football

history is also behind them, I mean they know what these
final matches look like
they won this tournament in 1976 with the famous penalty
shot of Panenka

they were also second in 1996 I think.

I hope netherlands play fine... they have so many great
players but they never seem to do right

yeah, czech certanly have nice history in football
netherlands team had so much bad luck in the past its almost
impossible they'd get out after the preliminary games

but i agree, anything could happen

do you think a boca supporter change to river plate?
or a manchester supporter turn into a liverpool supporter?

I couldnt be a madrid supporter

i know what you mean, i was kidding

im sorry i never felt that way, im not really that big
supporter...i was a big fan of barcelona for a long time but
then when madrid started playing like they do now, and
especially after they got figo i started to like them the
best...it is just the way they play, i love watching
them...
i never was that pationate about football, so i dont dislike
any team, except when they play against madrid haha.

when barca is playing against some stronger team (other than
madrid and inter) i always want them to win cos i still like
them for the old times sake

tolstoyed, sorry but i don't understand... you like Real
'cos they play best football in the world (and I agree with
you) and you also like Inter that play worst boring football
in the world (and you should agree with me).
now with Zaccheroni inter is doing better, but last year
with Cuper they were scandalous.

yeah, its funny, i like inter for the old times sake i guess
- but i hope they will improve soon...and i like lots of
players like cannavaro, recoba (my favourite player
probably), vieri, cordoba, javier zanetti, ... btw, last
year they almost made my crying :)

Points: 12920 Status: Lurker | Followup to tolstoyed: #00977899

another thing... why recoba? i think it's a great player but
he plays well one match and then doesn't touch a ball in the
followings 3 matches. maybe he should go to play in Spain,
there he could have more space for express his talent.
anyway Recoba isn't a leader imo.

i agree he's not been playing that great lately, but at
those rare times that he has a great match i love watching
him play...
and he is usually playing great for urugvay, he is a real
leader there, and they're pretty strong team as well

i dont even remember when i noticed him for the first time
heh, but i guess i'll always like him, and somehow i'd love
to see him play in spain, but inter wouldnt be the same for
anymore then :)

barcelona 1 - 2 madrid

what a brilliant game, such a high pace...no rest for either
team
real always make it look so simple, its often just two or
three brilliant passes before they score
casillas saved the game for real today, he always seems so
calm and inder control

BIG shame ronaldinho is injured, otherwise im sure it would
have been even better game
