i have to say Portugal deserved to win the match, they played the much better football, England are really getting boring, they think they can defend constantly and not play football. They came unstuck against France and again tonight.

Fun fact: the splitsecond before Beckham hit the ball it rolled a notch to the right. Looks odd, almost like someone's moved it by remote. England started bright but in the end they got swamped by the passionate Portugese. I Couldn't have picked a winner from this one tbh, the match was pretty intense but in the end the grapes are always sour when you go out on penalties.
It's the suckiest way to go out imo.

Sorry Tolstoyed, but it's now a fact that your impeccable football insight has totally let you down this tournament.
France finally ran out of luck after their incredibly shabby run in this tournament. This was probably one of the worst quarterfinals ever, especially coming from the French side with all their megastars.
Kind of boring to see Greece in the semi's though, it kinda kills the grandness of such a stage in the tournament because I can't say the Greeks have been playing spectacular football thusfar, which says alot about poor France.

anyway if a team like greece is one of the best 4 teams in europe... thats not good news for this sport
cos greece plays an awfull football, they just wait for the other team to make a mistake... meanwhile they just run and keep a solid wall

aww come on now people... this tournament has been awesome so far... all the big teams that have been eliminated (with the exception of England) were playing shitty football, and deserved to be knocked out on their asses... it's nice to see some of these smaller nations get all whooped up about winning... this tournament will force the larger nations to adapt, and everyone will win in the long run...

it´s the other way around, this is good for football the big teams play bad and need to wake up, most "big" players are spoiled imo, let them work again to win something, and a team should not rely on 1 player but on all

now that I think of it .... yea its true this is good for football
but dont get me wrong... its good that france, italy, germany or spain go home soon cos they play shit football, but in the case of greece they are in semifinals with an arcaic method based in destroying football... its not like denmark or or for example korea in their worldcup in which they played fast creative football
I am all for small teams winning the big teams, cos thats the best part of this game... its far from being mathematical... but I prefer when does teams win thanks to a valerous game proposal
