Delirium can last anywhere from days to weeks or months,
and it waxes and wanes over time. For Vanderhoof, the
delirium suddenly returned one night after he was back home
with his wife in Hailey, Idaho. Emily said she found him at
2 a.m. in the bathroom talking in repetitive loops, unable
to orient to where he was, counting on his hands and trying
to use sign language.

reminds me of when i was on a family vacation out in
california, and got food poisoning. after a couple days, i
was tripping out. for some reason i'd been moved from one
guest bedroom to another; i was too zonked out to absorb any
memory of why. after a bit, though, i realized: i am a
factory. i saw the assembly line. i have to keep the
assembly line moving. and to keep it moving, i have to keep
moving my hands in this pattern

not sure how long i was doing that before mum came to check
on me, and, i gather, freaked out when i refused to stop
moving my hands. grabbed my hands to get me to stop, and i'm
all, "c'mon, mom, i have to keep the assembly line moving"
and then she freaks out more

but that was enough to snap me out of it. i said, "i think
i'm going to take a bath" and i did, and felt reasonably
grounded. sitting in the tub, and thinking "huh" and trying
to process what i'd just experienced

The Taneytown Police Department left a message on its
Facebook page Wednesday morning telling residents to put
their pants on when they leave their homes.

“Please remember to put pants on before leaving the house
to check your mailbox. You know who you are. This is your
final warning,” the post said.

"It felt like a Black Mirror episode"

At 10:30 a.m., employees logged onto Zoom but were greeted
only by a cracking silence. Meetings at Bird are usually
always punctual and more frenzied Slack messages followed.

"Is there audio? Why can't i hear anything?" Alvauaje
messaged her colleagues.

"We never start late," another employee remembers thinking.
"This is strange. Something feels off."

For the next five minutes, employees stared at a sparse
slide with a dark grey background that said only
"COVID-19."

"It was not our brand color or font, which frankly was
unsettling in a way I couldn't articulate," Alvauaje said.

the grocery store is now a black mirror episode. there is a
cop loitering outside, despite saying no loitering, call the
police if people are loitering. police take notice.
puh-leeeze

presumably the officer is there to scold anyone not wearing
corona garb. there was a scarf someone left in the trunk of
my car back when i was ubering. i wrapped it around my face
and then adjusted the ends of the scarf just so, to make
myself look like a complete ponce.

once inside, i actually followed the arrow flow they've
taped out on the floors, and had a good time giving people
who ignored it the stink-eye. in truth i don't really give a
shit

that is the most food i've bought at once in... years,
really... because i really don't want to deal with that
again anytime soon

donald trump

Speaking at a coronavirus task force briefing this week,
Trump noted he hasn’t “left the White House in
months,” except to send off the USNS Comfort from a
Virginia naval base and visit the Federal Emergency
Management Agency‘s headquarters in March. The president
has otherwise stayed within the executive complex for six
weeks,

ok, that's is not "months," plural, but we'll let it slide

an extraordinary stretch of confinement for a president
who — even while stuck in Washington — loves to golf and
visit his businesses. Trump's last big trip outside the
Beltway to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in
Atlanta ended with a three-day fundraising swing in Florida,
during which he stayed at his Mar-a-Lago beach club and
golfed at a nearby course he owns.

His itch to get away from Washington comes as his
administration pressures governors to begin loosening
restrictions on interstate travel

the sadistic part of me imagines doctors repeatedly
confining him to smaller and smaller sections of the white
house on a daily basis

survive this!! *touch wood*

i would say i have a legitimate case for a medical card.
it's never been "oohhh, i have terrible anxiety, i need it
to function." i have anxiety that makes me tense and clench
my teef, but even that isn't really why weed. it's more
about a background radiation of crabby grumpiness that
gradually builds momentum until i'm scowling at playing
children, and getting really stoned and crying to
squarepusher acid freakouts buys me a few days of being a
more pleasant person. i have some increasingly dry flower
for that, but not much. day to day, vape extract cartridges,
a little here and there, and that's what's on my mind now.
i'm almost out, and i'm not sure where to get more. dreading
running out; already rationing it. even after that, i'll
have the flower as an escape hatch once or twice a week, but
i'm not even sure where to get more of that since
everyone's gone into hiding

you can find me posting about strategy earlier in this
thread, debating when to go to the store, the dispensary. i
actually feel like i nailed it all pretty well, except... i
hadn't thought this far ahead. i essentially thought, "oh,
i'm set until sometime in may" and here we are and i haven't
planned that far. still better than trump did, i suppose

My friend has a lockdown weed connection but don't like that
uncertainty.... might actually.... stop ... for a bit

Ive rationed the remaining weed and tobacco. One good pile
of mixed tobacco and weed. About 1:7 ratio weed to taboacco.
One tiny pile of just a little clean weed. A good nug and a
half in the bag. Then there is one of those ooold packs of
tobacco that you once bought but didn’t like and left, now
nearing its end.

Bangladeshi up the road is out of cigs for now.

The health minister using the situation to push his agenda.

Alcohol to stop domestic violence mostly while everyone is
cooped up. Data suggests that crime is down significantly.
And they are linking it to that. They’ll keep a lid on the
alcohol as long as they can imo, people have already started
looting. Kind of sneaky detoxing the nation like that.

Tabak I honestly can’t think of a good reason that was
given. It will be reversed, which is great.

Apparently the covid likes tobacco. Basically it weakens the
immune system, like alcohol. Can’t rem where I saw that
nicotine adds to the risks with covid. Dunno if that’s
they did it though.
