Quaristice: Your Verdict?

so far the is the best/worst album of 2008/all time which is
filled with genius doodlings that are the product lazy
wankery on a machinedrum and monomachine and heavily
produced on a PC using only hardware effects and not a PC.
It is only bettered by any one of half a dozen previous
albums but not all of them. The MP3 release contains
exclusive pictures of squares that are brilliant because
they were done by DR. Warp accidently pressed up 5000 times
more copies than they needed of the special edition disc and
only 1000 copies of the real album, so they came up with the
special edition so people could hear what the real album
sounds like if the CD is stored in a tin.

decent avatar.

Overall this is not hitting me as hard as Untilted did, but
I don't really want to comment after only 3 listens. Chenc9
and Theswere sound amazing though.

I just noticed on Ecnad's autechre.co.uk site that it says

"The leaked track sounds Polish influenced and will
appear on CD2 of the one disc album."

And yet there are 2 CDs of what is a 1 Disc Album.

How did he know? IS HE AN AUTECHRE?

boring, lifless, no feeling, no energy.

i don't like it, same as i don't like the last 4 albums
they've done. they should just stick to gescom imo.

it's like they deliberately try and remove the fun from
music with their autechre stuff....when i listen to any of
there stuff from confield onwards i simply can't imagine
that they had any fun making it, it all sounds like such a
chore.

man. i love both the songs with beats and without beats, but
when listening to the whole album, the ambient/beatless
tracks seem much more important. dunno why.
i like this album so far.

Perhaps "Quaristice" is Autechre's take on the Gescom
concept piece "Minidisc"?

Let's press that random button and see how that feels.

Ha! Absolutely true, this morning, whilst in the lavatory,
with Quartistoid playing loudly from the bedroom, I thought
of Elusive listening to his records being played upstairs
whilst he roamed around the house trying to find the optimum
listening point. I then wondered what my neighbours thought
of it, as I hate them, so I turned it up louder.
