"I don't like stupid, boring and badly filmed movies,
for
some reason.
"

because it resembles your life too much?

Yes, my life is boring and stupid, and above all badly
filmed.

i'm having a David Lynch day tomorrow when i get back from
my job interview. Dune, Blue Velvet and Elephant Man.
Elephant Man i haven't seen and the others i haven't seen
for ages. The HMV Blue Velvet DVD comes with some lovely
post cards. The UK Blue Velvet and Dune DVD's are
beautifully packaged, i don't think i could have done a
better job myself.

You should change directors!!!
And have someone rewrite the script for your life!!!

Dune 4/5, underrated David Lynch film based on an AMAZING
book. Would surely be 5/5 with an extra half an hour. I
absolutely love the actors in this film. Jessica was my
favourite character in the book and was brilliantly played
by Francesca Annis. I have to admit though, its better
enjoyed having read the book first though to understand it
fully.

???

So you hadn't seen when you made this post?

"Dune 5/5?? you've got to be joking? I LOVE David Lynch
films
but this is by far his worst, its has its merits but is far
from perfect. The book would be the only version of Dune to
get 5/5. I'd probably rate the Lynch movie 3.5/5. Have you
seen the TV series?
"

Anyway I'm glad you've come about. And indeed the actors are
perfectly casted if you ask me. I loved the dreamy
whispering of their thoughts, it totally captured the
atmosphere of the book, lots of thinking in there too!

well i hadn't seen it for a long time and I kind of jumped
on the bandwagon a bit with bashing the film but now i've
just seen it on the new re-mastered dvd and was impressed.
Also i'm currently re-reading Dune so I understand it a lot
better now.

i've just ordered the next two Dune novels, its meant to be
a good trilogy... then it goes downhill after.

sylvia 3.5 /5
i definately thought it was going to be better, but it was
still very good. it didn't go to indepth into her lfe i
don't think, but some parts were very interesting.
my favorite part is how the movie starts out. with her
laying on the floor reciting a part of one of plath's best
poems.
which she continues on reading some of plaths best work
through different parts of the movie.
caution: do not watch this if you're depressed.

Hate to be the 445th message in the thread, thus advancing
the beautiful number, but it was bound to happen.

The Very Thought Of You, 2.5/5.

Well acted, but romance films . . . not my thing. Happened
to catch it on IFC. However it was nice to see Rufus Sewell
in something other than Dark City, a 5/5 film by the
way.
