Twilight Samurai - 4.2/5
Excelent samurai film with the focus on story rather than action. It does however contain the most realistic swordfighting i've ever seen. Definately one for fans of Kurosawa (most people then)

I'm watching "The Saddest Music in the World" next week, can't wait, it looks like a fucked up early Lynch film and it stars Isabella Rossellini. How can it not be amazing? :)

last samurai - 7/10
i think it was just a little over the top. but i enjoyed it. i thought Ken Watanabe was excellent. the costumes were excellent. the sword fighting was awesome, even though i doubt even Captain Algren could have become such a master so quickly.
anyway, i thought it was going to really suck so it was better than i expected.

- Buffalo '66 9.5/10 (highly recommended) - Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader-Murdering Mom 5/10 (I expected more with this title)
- Clerks 5/10 (some good jokes but very, very bad acting) - Felicia's journey 8/10 (subtle, funny and creepy mad bad guy)
- the Butcher Boy 8/10 (boy goes more and more insane) - Kids 4/10 (examples of negative behaviour of kids, didn't impress me)
- Virgin Suicides 7.5/10 (dreamy, beautifully done but poor story, still very worth watching)
