rules... but who is the jury?

no not really. the xltronic crew will pick the top 15 tracks
and you'll vote on those later. all remixes will be sent to
autechre and they will pick THEIR winner.

all remixes will be available to download after the "peoples
choice" has been choosen (by you).

Christ, 180?! How long would it take you to pick 15 from
180? How many times would you have to play each track to
decide? Questions, questions.

Man, makes the European Song Contest voting look like a
breeze.

Roddy Piper's fake gun at the end. hilarious. you can
totally see it is plastic.

hehe. I've never noticed the plastic gun before. I'll take
another look -- I got it DVD the other day.

THey Live is one of my favourite John Carpenter movies - he
always has good ideas, that dude - sometimes he doesn't see
them thru as well -- :) sorry this has nothing to do with
the comp. but I noticed two others talking about it :)

I can't wait (as a non-contributor) to hear the results!

maybe two weeks from now. maybe shorter. maybe longer. it
depends on few things. or many.

no worries. there are loads of mixes and they deserves more
than one listen.

From what I interpreted from your english, autechre will
listen to all 180 themselves instead of having 15 selected
ones filtered for them. Poor phrobiazero... the stress of
juggling 1.2 Gb's done went and changed his avatar.

i hate to tell anyone who to vote for but whatever candidate
you pick, for the love of god, make it ANYONE but GEORGE
DUBYA BUSH!

as a side note, wouldnt' that be some surreal front page
news: BUSH PICKED AS WINNER IN AE RMX CONTEST! forget shady
iraqui oil deals! that would be one mindboggling conspiracy!

i don't think choosing 15 out of 180 will be as hard as it
seems. it's easy to tell which songs are definately not "top
15 material", i'm guessing it's going to come down to about
40-50 mixes to decide from.

suggestion for the mods:i've been on the staff of this
poetry book at my school for two years, and we also had to
decide what goes and what stays. for the first "round" of
desicions we would have all the staff members rate each
piece 1-4, then average out the votes. if it was above a 2.5
it made it to the next round.

just a suggestion, i'm sure you've got your own methods
already.

weatheredstoner: i think that's settled then! if dubya is
god, he'll no doubt make himself the winner of the AE rmx
contest - just because he can! and if he doesn't win, all
memebers of the xltronic.com messageboard will be placed on
a list of the world's most dangerous terrorists.

vaguer than his writings would have been translucent
