so thats why I want it to be:

germany - usa (probably for germany)
spain - italy (great match)
brazil - england (great match)
senegal - japan (the match of the surprise)

to make a semifinals:

brazil - senegal
germany - spain
(thats my wish of course, hehehe woofer I hope you
understand, anyway I dont believe we could beat italy)

final:

brazil - spain

dreaming is not forbidden

Belgium had a good headed goal disallowed. Its 0-0 but it
should be 1-0 to the Red Devils.

ronaldo, rivaldo, ronaldinho, roberto carlos, cafu,
denilson... so many great players... such a bad team...
why?
if england si lucky enough in corners or free kicks they can
beat this anarquic team

England stand little or no chance of winning, I am just
going to make sure that I am surrounded by people who I love
so it wont seem to hard a blow.

I am English if anyone is confused.

england can do it.
I will explain it to you:

if somebody tells me "spain vs brazil" I say brazil; if he
tells me " brazil vs england" I say ...dont know

I think england has some good points that fit with the bad
points of brazil and the good points of brazil (strikers)
will have a big trouble cos there (in defense) is where
england is strong

England stand a very good chance of winning.
And I stand alone in saying that I think they will.

I believe we are better organised with a better manager. We
have a team that plays best when the under-dog. We stopped
Argentina who were light-years ahead of Brazil in
qualifying. England are unbeaten in their last 11 world cup
competition matches conceding just 6 goals. Belgium created
7 clear scoring chances inside the penalty area against
Brazil and had a goal disallowed. In Owen we have a player
who can put chances away. Of course, Brazil can improve but
if not, they are there for the taking !! At the very least,
we should give them a game they won't forget

COME ON ENGLAND !!! :D

tomorrow:

italy - korea............italy

japan - turkey.........japan

what do you think and why?

I think italy has so much experience...even though korea may
play very good...italy its just the best in this tournament,
they know how to play with time, preasure and luck...and
they have some great players

heh this is a reply to an older message in this thread, so
don't be confused, o ye reader.

smokehammer: i was merely stating that for me it is more
enjoyable to watch teams play beautiful combinations etc.
than ram the ball forwards in the hope that someone will
pick it up. i didn't say anything about ireland not
deserving to have won or something. i admire their will to
fight, but i didn't enjoy watching it. i like the technical
players better, but no team is complete without hard edged
fighters (like roy keane)

i don't think england have much chance against brazil
ronaldo seem to be back in form
and rivaldo can score in almost any situation
on the other side there is owen but he doesn't seem to be in
a top form

rivaldo plays in barcelona

i would like to see italy and japan win,
i doubt italy could lose against korea, because the gap in
quality its just too big
as far as japan vs turkey match is concerned, both teams are
pretty much equal imo, tho i think japan has a bit more
chance because they are hosts

i hear mendieta is about to join barcelona
u know anything about this?
the way barcelona is managing, i see more chance for ronaldo
to join real madrid
but anyway i don't think that inter is going to let him
leave

inamoto surprised many managers around the world i hear
but my favourite player is still hidetoshi nakata
he was really good while he was playing for roma-he was a
substitution for totti, and many times he was more impressive
than totti

u think that vieri, ronaldo and recoba can play together?
i think that ronaldo may be very unhappy if they don't pay
him as much as recoba and vieri
its a great trio, but i don't think inter can afford that
its probably the strongest attacking trio

recoba, vieri and ronaldo... never thought of that...inter
could win everything if they attempted to play with 3
strikers

but if ronaldo came to real madrid:

raul, zidane, figo, roberto carlos, morientes...

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2002-06-18 00:32 [#00271609]

i would really like to see those three play together
ronaldo and vieri are playing as strikers while recoba is
playing behind them actually
but the past season ronaldo didn't play much because of the
injury
and also recoba wasn't in the first team because he was
banned-passport forgery

how can real afford all these players?
and how come barcelona can't?

barcelona did a bad economic work in the last 8 years and
now they are out of money.

real madrid has sold their "sports town" in the centre of
madrid, and they have won a lot of money

for the last two years i have been listening that real has
this big financial problems
but than, afther the season they allways sign new expensive
players
so i really don't know what to think anymore
hehe

they (real madrid) have only bought one player each year in
the last two years ( figo, zidane) the rest are new players
from the young teams. this means they can buy one really
expensive one, as they are only buying that one...the rest
they are working hard on getting young players from their
own football schools...so little money spent and lots of
players they sell... they are doing a great financial job
