I wish we can at least give you the pleasure of beating
korea...but it will be hard...

eleven vs thirteen (11+fans+referee)

anyway its normal cos they play at home.

No, I'ìm sorry but this time I'm not agree with you.

Retransmition in the field is fundamental, imo. I agree
about imperfection on the field, but imperfection bewteen
players and between trajectory of the ball... but you can't
lose a match for a referee... I'll never accept this thing!
I could accept that win a team more lucky than another but i
can't accept than a team lose 'cos a referee deny a regular
goal. A goal is a goal you can't deny it, imo.

Probably with retransmition in the field, world cup could
more realistic.

I also think that way, but how much would the matches last
then?
what would happen in those cases in which even after the
replay not everybody agrees with what happened... it would
be very difficult

btw: With Retransmition in the field, I'm mean MOVIOLA or
instant replay with the the referees that change decision
when they made an error.

(i.e. AMERCAN FOOTBALL)

But I'll use moviola only for important decisions as
Penalty, espulsion, simulations or goals denied.

offline WooferAttack from Milano (Italy) on 2002-06-19 11:11 [#00274606]
Points: 12920 Status: Lurker

The 4th referee should check the moviola out of the field
and verify the right decision of the referees on the field.

I saw on TV that 2 years ago, 30 european referees voted for
MOVIOLA on the field. Why FIFA don't use it? 'cos probably
there are a lot of personal interests to defend. (with
moviola on the field, korea never beat Italy and probably
belgium won against Brasil)

like it or not, these are the mistakes that make football
interesting. the human factor must always be upheld,
otherwise we might just design a couple of football drones
and watch them play an utterly predictabel match.

Nacmat, I hope Spanish football federation is politically
strongest than Italy.
I REPEAT: Turkey federation was politically strong (the
chief of european referees is a Turkish) and they got
COLLINA for the match against another home's team called
Japan.
Italian's federation is very poor and few important so we
got Moreno from Ecuador, I'd like that this thing would be
clear for everybody here.

Nacmat, we'll see soon how much is important in the world
Spanish football federation when we'll know the referee of
the match SPAIN-KOREA... believe me, mate.

Meditate... JAPAN-TURKEY COLLINA (ITALY) (probably the
future referee of grand final 2002)
................KOREA - ITALY MORENO (ECUADOR)

offline WooferAttack from Milano (Italy) on 2002-06-19 11:26 [#00274612]
Points: 12920 Status: Lurker

Now I'll stop to speak about referee, italy, korea, moreno,
moviola, etc... 'cos it hasn't sense more.

I say only one thing: SPAIN win against KOREA on the field,
against FIFA, REFEREE, LINESMAN, etc... I hope to see a
great football match, clear and correct where win the best.

My bet is: SPAIN - SOUTH KOREA = 2 - 0
(Morientes, Raoul) + (2 regulars goal denied... no, ok now
i'm joking... i hope...)

I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH TRAPPATONI:

he said that if italy had beaten korea they would have gone
to the semifinal, cos spain is nothing to worry about...he
said that korea was the best team tha they had to play till
semifinals... well I think thats stupid.
I am not saying that korea is not good, but its stupid from
him to say that he didnt worry about spain when he had just
lost with korea... if he is angry against the referee or the
fifa I dont understand why he has to loose his respect
towards spain.

In 1986 I had to live with Maradona punching the ball into
the goal with his hand to beat England

Then in 1994 England didn't get to the finals 'cos Ronald
Koeman was not sent off after the worst professional foul
ever on Platt , and a free-kick was given instead of
penalty.

In 1998 Sol Campbells goal was disallowed v. Argentina for
some slight pushing ... and we lost again on penalties....

Every side has bad luck and bad decisions, but you have to
live with it. On Friday, England face a side (Brazil) who
get many favours from FIFA, and who FIFA obviously want in
the final...

MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN and may the referee be fair . Its more
likely the heat kills England than the referee...

Well said Smokey. The injustices England have recently
endured is making this world cup sugary sweet. I just pray
we beat Brazil. Oh the way I would feel. I just hope England
can celebrate it properly. After the Argentinian game there
was a really agrassive atmosphere on the streets. I just
want pure elation.

Where did you read this stuff, nacmat? I never known about
that interview. I'm sure it's a fake 'cos Trapattoni is
gentleman, believe me. In Italy we never heard about that
interview.
Spain is one of the best team of this world cup and
trapattoni is too intelligent for say a thing like that.

also the defense have 2 left defanders and none on the
right... but well its great anyway

You know that journalist like to write sensational news for
attract people.
I think Trapattoni (as Camacho too) think that was better
play against Spain than Korea only for the following
reasons:
We know very well Spanish football and you know very well
Italian football, so could be a more easy match for both
teams... but as you saw yesterday, play against Korea in the
world cup called Korea/Japan 2002 is like play roulette at
casinò, imo. Everything is possible.

So I think is better to play against Spain than Korea 'cos I
know you're strongest than korea but would be a great
correct match on the field and would win really the best...
but play against Korea could be a unpredictable result and
in fact we lost.

On the paper you're strongest than Korea you should win 3-0
but... remeber is like play roulette in casinò...

USA-GERMANY (usa could have some advantages from referee...

SPAIN-KOREA (korea could have some advatages from referee...

ENGLAND-BRASIL (brasil could have some advantages from

NO,

in spanish press this is what they say:

they say that really italy has been robbed lots of times in
this world cup
they also say that against korea the referee shouldnt have
fired totti and that the offside that was a goal by gatusso
wasnt offside at all.

but they also say that other times italy has been favoured
by the referees, so they musnt think of conspiracy, as this
is just a matter of sometimes referees give and others
take.
