I know what you mean. This is a more aesthetically rewarding
listen than draft and untilted. It's music, not just
process.

I grew to love Draft it is certainly one of my favorites but
it took some time. I was used to listening to autechre a
certain way and found you almost have to listen to something
like that more like you listen to a zoviet france or hafler
record than an idm record. I mean there are grooves, beats
and all that but it is largly about atmosphere and texture.

I personally don't mind the dark minimal-glitch kind of
stuff you hear from ae, otto, r. devine etc. With that
stuff instead of outright melodies the tones are kind of
blended back into the beats and textures. You just have to
be careful not to get too cautious and important with some
of that. People still want to be entertained no matter how
much they stroke their beards.

I have listened to it all the way through once and I don't
think I will bother again. Am I missing something?

well i'm kinda board of it by now. at least i haven't had an
urge to listen to it in over a week. now, if i go back and
listen to it today, and i get that felling like, "oh yeah!
shit i really like this track" or something then maybe i
sincerely appreciate this album. if not, then maybe it was
just a flash in the pan.

i'll try to make a point to listen to it today to test my
hypothesis.

some of it reminds me of the other tracks on the gantz EP.

Also, is there some sounds from V-Proc in PlyPhon?

from warpmart. weak.>>>>>

We'd like to advise WarpMart customers that unfortunately
there is a few days delay on the Autechre 'Quaristice'
special edition orders.

The photo etching process used to manufacture the steel case
has taken a little longer than planned and the parts have
just started arriving at WarpMart today. We've got a lot of
hand packing to do but we're confident that all orders will
be dispatched by Wednesday and will be with you by the end
of next week.

We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause,
and very much appreciate your patience. We're sure that
you'll be happy when you get them.

there are slight variations, but basically the same material
i think.. hardcore fans ofcourse hear the difference though
: )

they were swlling cds and other stuff on untilted tour, but
maybe that depends on the venue.

club ofcourse..if you will just appear with a laptop on the
entrance it will look odd. you can usually bring in
backpacks in italy from my experience, but you know, in case
they'll want to have a look inside and they see a laptop
they might tell you you can't go in with that.. but if you
have an email confirmation that it's ok, it's a different
story. once you do that it's up to autechre if they will
allow it..they probably wouldn't know anyway, as you'd sort
that out with the mixing table guy.

nah, the cardboard package is totally "unbent", but the
LP-cover itself is quite thin so it's just a question of
grabbing it in the wrong place I guess? whatever... (it's
not gigantic or totally wrecked, it's just a bit annoying)

ya know, that was really incredible for me cos i never
though i could've seen him live before dying, took a good
friend with me totally unaware of the music and said to him
"don't worry, you'll be smoking a phat one and everything
will be fine"

then when we jumped off the car i saw people walking to the
park screaming "aphextwin! aphextwin!" and i nearly teared
my eyes =)

sorry for the ot, here's asia's tattoo to remedy
