Happy Endings -- 3/5 some stuff that really works, some that doesn't quite as well. good work from Tom Arnold, Lisa Kudrow, and Steve Coogan. definitely need more Maggie Gyllenhaal, though. |

Ok, after watching Greed (9/10) and Queen Kelly (9/10) I must admit that E. v. Stroheim is as much "da man" as C.T.Dreyer. Only a different kind of "da man". He's a "big budget, no boudaries, lot's of cruelty and disdain for people, having problems with censorship" "da man" as opposed to "Bergman+Trier of the 20's" "da man". Buffalo '66 - 8/10. Could have been 9/10 if not for the ending. |
