Lost Highway 4/5

this was the third time i watched it (i think) but i dident
remember it that much.i tried to figure out exactly what
happend in the film afterwards but couldent do that and i
bet no one can.i think its not told in a straight story and
jumps between different times.?.

hmm, now i want to watch it again.

it's like two different stories, both featuring one common
character or, more accurately, actress.

i've never had much time for lynch's films. mullholland
drive was pretty cool; having it explained on the internet
helped a bit.

I don't think Lost Highway is very good. It's like he
was trying too hard to make his film a puzzle game this
time, "oh look, HINTS!" etc.

my girlfriend had me watch 'touching the void'

its a true story as recounted by the protagonists and
re-enacted by actors of two mountain climbers, who work
without any team backup. they climb a previously unbeaten
sheer face in peru, but on the way down one climber falls
and shatters his leg. this is a death sentence.

his partner attempts to lever him down the mountain but
accidentally dangles him off a sheer drop. he has no choice
but to cut the rope.

the injured climber falls into a crevasse but somehow
survives, and manages to pull himself out, and roll himself
down the mountain to his friend who couldnt bring himself to
leave.

brilliant film. put me in a right state of awe.

Dracula in Pakistan (1965) 7/10

Too professional for a 1965 Pakistan production to be funny
like those famous turkish productions and too amateur to get
a decent score for artistic values. Hilarious music score
and dancing sequences though. Also, Dracula uses a car
instead of bat wings (tight budget).

Woman In the Dunes (1964) 9/10

A gem.

Last Days (2005) dir Gus Van Sant.

4.5/5
beautiful film. the colours throughout are earthy tones,
lush and being sucked to dry. succinct. a pleasure to see.
pitt does a nice job of being cobain.

Yeah, i have that soundtrack too. The thing I'd like to get
by Toru Takemitsu is his "Water Music". I heard it once on
Polish Radio 2 and still think it's the most beautiful tape
music ever created. So if anybody has this, let me know.
