Yeah, to all haters of the XLTistice thing...

IT'S ONLY A BIT OF FUN! And as Wolfslice says: "not an
insult to Autechre at all". It'll get people to listen to
some of the music us guys make too once it's completed. But,
as Wolfslice said again, will we get it finished in time?

so it is one 20 track album after all according to the warp
newsletter. def has to have interludes as i doubt there are
20 four minute tracks

It will probably be structured in the same way as "Music Has
the Right To Children" by BoC, considering that it had 18
tracks.

1 minute "fillers" aren't really just fillers in electronic
music. Short songs like that are only considered fillers if
it's a rock group (I.E In Rainbows by Radiohead)

The ones that are the shortest ones, will probably be like
Melve from LP5.

im not hating on the xlt fakes thing im just sayin it
probably looks bad

lets say youre doing an interview 3 years after you get a
record deal - and someone asks, "so, what names have you
released music under?" autechre will be one of those names
youve released music on and youll have to leave that piece
of info out

its just like Dr. Phil doing this whole thing with britney
spears and her drug addiction. he wants to go to the
hospital with a camera crew and film an psychological and
drug intervention.

theres a lot of buzz surrounding britney spears and dr.
phil's just trying to get in on it for ratings, do you think
he actually cares about britneys real problems? no he knows
that by putting his name into the buzz he'll get his ratings
and get more money..

or like when tom leykis released the name of that accuser
who said kobe bryant raped her in a hotel room. tom leykis
became more popular than kobe bryant or the rape victim
after that happened and now hes one of the most syndicated
radio shows

i dont think the fakes thing is threat to anybody - and im
not at all saying its the magnitude of any of those examples
either but maybe it just looks bad. who knows

They just want your money like everyone else.

WATMM reported the following:

"Artwork-wise, [Quaristice] looks a bit like Incunbula, and
is due out 3 March."

Huh?

well if you factor in that Incunabula was the only other AE
cover with glitchy weirdly laid out text, the comparison is
actually quite understandable. Although it looks more like
Bass cadet to me because of the color

unfortunately Bogala is right, for as long as they've been
performing they put very little energy or entertainment into
their sets beyond thge musical content. I for one really
enjoy AE like because of how much unreleased content they
play, but if they just did songs off their albums i doubt i
would ever go see them play. Its a shame they never got
some live gantz graf style visual action going

The Quaristice cover reminded me of the Anti EP cover. And
the Garbage EP also had glitchy text.

I honestly thought they could have done better with the
album art. But it isn't bad though, I kind of like the way
the letters are spaced out.

someone else
besides the Designer's Republic by now. Maybe a new artist.
Or one of their fans o.O.

wondering whether he yells "let's make some noooooise!" to
his audience during his concerts. so, does he?

i don't know, but if he does, it's in Japanese: "retusu

fireballs out of his rectum.

I don't care if they don't put much into their performance,
I just want to hear their songs in new ways. Just being in
the same room with those two
is worth the money.
