the only times drukqs was remotely acid was when it was
"aphex acid".
and let me tell you this, aphex acid and acid should never
be mistaken for being the same thing.

Aye, I don't personally consider drukqs as whole acid, never
have. There are a couple moments on that cd though that are
full on acidy though (and probably the pinnacle of acid
music I might add), the entire track of Meltphace 6 being
one of them.

cx thanks for that recommendation. I'll check out drexciya.

Well yeah, anyone who's done basic school chemistry will
have learn that.
I distinctly remember our gruff old chemistry teacher
telling us not to add water to acid and not to confuse
regular acid with aphex acid.
I remember one time we even made isoprophlex, but that's
another story...

i dont know, it has old equipment and sparse use of effects
and pretty basic sounds like wolfslice described, so it came
to mind

agreed.

seaquake is the only track which could be labelled as acid.
positron island maybe as well. but that's about it, i
guess.

needless to say they're all excellent tracks!

After murdering ladies of the night, big vats of acid are
great for getting rid of the bodies...
however, pigs are better..much faster with no trace left.

Pigs can consume a lady of the night quicker than you can
wipe the blood off of your cock.

yes ive had ass creed for a while. not finished it yet
though. ive been on a snowboard a couple of times and it was
alright but winter sports arent really my thing. peas are
awesome, especially the mushed variety. i smoked crack
cocaine once in a night club thinking it was a marijuana
cigarette. i wasnt well. my favourite colour is green (like
the peas). have you entered my christmas competition yet?

I seriously hope the blue stuff isn't the proper front cover
artwork. The last couple of albums' artwork was so much
better. Get Rutterford back/tell TDR to do something decent,
they usually do.

I also hope to god it's a double album. I want the long IDM
glitch outs that Autechre are so good at, not just 4 minute
snippets.

the whole fakes thing doesnt look good IMO. if someones
going to release music, they should release it under their
own name. its like -- youre going to put out your stuff --
but youre going to say its from autechre, come on

its like if youre really old, fat and youre a girl but you
get on myspace and put up pictures of a really sexy, young,
hot woman. you go to make a date with some dude, arrange for
sex in the car and you flop your vagina all up on his
unholstery and dashboard pretending your offended when he
says you dont look like you did in your profile. if you
think you're worth something you can be honest about who you
are

Well nobody is stopping anyone from doing both. I put
chenc9 up here as part of the XLTristice project (which is
looking like its still incomplete), but I will certainly be
retooling the track and releasing it for my own purposes
elsewhere.

In my mind, the part in which the track came off as an
autechre track, is insignificant. I just write what I want
to write. Certainly the amount of people who will hear it
as an Ae track is small potatoes when compared to those who
will hear it outside of that context and in other places,
boards, etc.

"the whole fakes thing doesnt look good IMO. if someones

own name. its like -- youre going to put out your stuff --

But because the name carries so much in terms of people
actually bothering to listen to stuff, I can understand why
people would make fakes (though I've never done it; might be
worth a try.) If you're just another person making music, no
matter how good it is, you're far more likely to actually
get a decent number of listens and proper attention paid to
the music if you pretend you're called Autechre than if you
use a new name.

my only fear is that I can't read (or be bothered to read)
the track titles, making this in league with EP7's
indecipherable coding and SAW II's mysterious colour
schemes.
