AHAHAHAHA IM SO FUCKIN CONFUSED!!!!!!!

i've listened to it whole now and for the first 3 tracks i
was like 100% its a fake. but the second half is much more
real sounding and now im clueless.

haha this is so funny, sooo funny. the second half is a
decent sounding material, could be autechre but certainly
not what i expected to come after draft 7.30

i like the idea of this being a bootleg the best.

whatever it is, it might be autechre. or not. now i'll give
draft a listen after months.

"what would anyone GAIN by
faking this with such good tracks? Nobody would be that
stupid. "
- ask questions like that to hackers, virus makers
etc. What do they gain ? But they still DO IT, don't they ?

The more i listen to it the more i can see that it MAY be a
fake. I'm no longer willing to bet my house.

These are great tracks regardless. from 8:10 on in Ipacial
Section is really sweet sounding stuff.

Now I just don't know what to beleive anymore :*(

the tracks are totally shallow compared to last 3 autechre
releases.

okei wolfslice. listen to wolfslice and xylin room and
compare. wolfslice sounds like a cut'n'paste rework of xylin
room, and amplifies my suspicion that this is a fake.
several tracks are made up by chopped draft elements. i
don't think ae would release a whole new album based on
reworks of their last album.

but again, it's good, and sometimes it actually sound like
them, but the overall picture of the soundscape is to thin
to be their new album. i think..

i'm a hundred and thirventeenly percentage points
positervely that it either is or isn't them.

offline cx from Norway on 2005-02-14 07:19 [#01498003]

Impressions:
thin soundscape
shallow sounds
i mean listen to confields and autechres sounds, and the
general composition and arrangement of each song.
the sounds are "phat", genuine and innovative.

the melodies on this new album mainly consists of sounds
down to as simple as sinewaves, and while good, i doubt ae
would release something like it.

the beats are good, but once again lacks the depth of
confield and draft.

after listening to the album all day long im becoming
familiar with it, and i must say, i can't be 100% sure its
not them, but if it was real, i would be a little
dissapointed, not because the album isn't good(because it
is), but because of the lack of innovative and fresh
sounds.

im really hoping this isnt it cause i was hoping for draft
and confield only with new sounds. NOT cichlisuite mixed
with lp5.
we've already heard this, i need new material.

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2005-02-14 07:29 [#01498018]

Here is a totally new and totally unique reworking of my
impression on this "album":

thin soundspace
hollow sounds
i mean listen to draft and confields sounds, and the
general composition and arrangement of each song.
the sounds are "fat", sincere and unique.

the beats on this new album mainly consists of sounds
down to as simple as sinewaves, and while good, i doubt æ
would release something like it.

the melodies are good, but once again lacks the bredth of
confield and draft.

after listening to the album all day long im becoming
familiar with it, and i must say, i can be 100% sure its
not them. If it was real, i would be a little
dissapointed, because they are obviously paying people to
write music for them, so that they can be released as æ but
not made by æ.

im know this isnt it, cause i was hoping for cichle suite
and lp5, only with new sounds, new beat arrangements, new
melodies and new production styles.
NOT amber mixed with incunabla.
We've already heard this, i need new material. And by I, I
mean everyone here who agrees with me (and that should be
everyone, unless they are stupid or retarded, or stupid and
retarded)

are we talking about the same version??

lcc (7:46) - The opening sounds suspicious. In less than the
first beat, I get the feeling that if it's them, they've
gone senile.

You guys need to stop compairing new material to old
material.

What if smojphace was leaked? No one would believe that it
is real. We would argue that track 1 does sound aphexie but
he would never do noise.

Artists do try different things to avoid being one trick
ponies.

There is a damn good chance that this could be it. As said
earlier it has their stamp on it. There are certain things
that stand out to me.

And also as said.... why would someone want to put this out
and not get credit for it. Makes no sense. It is pretty
decent.

offline kokoon from Ljubljana (Slovenia) on 2005-02-14 07:50 [#01498047]

offline cx from Norway on 2005-02-14 07:52 [#01498048]
Points: 4537 Status: Regular

virginpusher, there are people who put shit like this out
without getting credit for it.
like with draft and confield.
so i've no doubt that this could be fake.

i guess in the end im sort of hoping its not real.
listen to sim gishel, or pen expers, or eidetic casein, i
mean they're otherwordly in their sounds and composition.

THATS what i was hoping for, not a rewrite of their older
stuff.

so yeah this is me hoping to god its not real.

This thread is very interesting. You went from believing
that this is 100% real and awesome to complete
disappointment and thinking it's fake.

hahaah! :D

I am not saying one way or the other. Its easy to be
confused and I have only listened to three autechre albums.
I will expand my horizons over the upcoming weeks

"otherwordly" - nicely put.

offline cx from Norway on 2005-02-14 08:03 [#01498062]
Points: 4537 Status: Regular

well yes, i know.

the problem was i got the album last night and i hadn't
listened to autechre for a few hours so i sort of forgot
their sound.
i got the album, put it on, and since i had forgotten how ae
sounded i was like "omfg neat", then i listened to it many
times in a row, and the more i believed it was real.

i went to sleep and woke up.
i put on confield, then i put on draft, and i realized that
they were on a completely other level.
just everything is so more perfect and innovative on draft
and confield.

ITS JUST NOT THEM. IM SURE: :D

see, i can understand that it's easy to be confused over
this. but what bothers me a bit, is that i always have to
listen how unique autechre are, and how unique their music
is. most of autechre fans are telling me that im missing out
something in their music if i don't get it, and yet some of
you think this is awesome and some of you think this could
never be autechre. :)

ok, for certain reasons, i am now, 100# sure that this is
the REAL and AUTHENTIC new autechre release.
i have done an extensive research study through their entire

its real guys.
it is likely that i will soon take a nap and come back here

i think people on slsk have it but i just got queued up and

as said similarily earlier, it is *possible* that one of the

fast.
this possible tracker's name rhymes with
