combo wtf, the beginning of pro radii is what makes me think its ae for sure.. i dunno about you but there's something about the atmosphere and mood, something about the complexity of the beats.. there's just something.. that makes me believe it's the real ae. we will never know 100% until sound samples are released or otherwise, but right now im 99.9% sure it's them. |

well, either way i don't think this is what's going to stand in stores in april... the production is a mess. and... naaah, this stuff's just too eclectic and autechre never was about being retro... at least until now. lera is a groovy bastard tho ^_^ ... fermium on the other hand... haha, that "melody" in the beginning sounds like something a 5 year old could have "composed" during her/his first encounter with a synthesizer... overall it justs sound too much like... "intelligent dance music"... although really well "crafted" (most of the time)... |

The beats don't sound granular enough. In everything they have done past ep7, you can hear evidence of major granular resampling. There doesn't seem to be any of that on this album. |

I'm certian it is Autechre. I've only heard three songs off it now, but I'm positive it's the real deal... I hear them everywhere on the tracks. How could anyone listen to "Augmatic Disport" and deny this is AE?? And what would anyone GAIN by faking these tracks? Assuming for a second that someone DID fake them, they sure as hell spent a lot of time and effort, why the hell would they put autechre's name on it and just throw away such ace tracks? It makes no sense. |

Listen to Gantz Graf, Ep7, and then Naftwa 4, instead of confield and draft. And there are a TON of draft 7.30 elements going on here as well.... it's like Draft took the best of Confield and Untilted takes the best of Draft. I really don't know what other people are hearing... AE's stamp is everywhere on this thing. |

ok here's some food for thought. listen to confield and draft, i mean really LISTEN. why would they revert back to metallic beats and sinewave synths aka IDM when they could create more experimental music with fresh new original sounds aka draft and confield? it sounds like autechre, but it sounds like autechre aka 5 years ago. and while their ep's and singles may sound lke this, their long players are always much more fresh and new, and original. i just dont see them returning to the old school way after confield and draft. i think the new album is going to be way different. i just know it. |

But thats what they did.... and it sounds fresh as hell to me. My favorite moment on all of Draft was the beat programming on Surripere... so this album is right up my alley. Confield is actually my favorite cd by any artist, and i know it as well as anyone can know an AE album, but I can cleary recognize autechres signature on these tracks. And I'm going to re-iterate, what would anyone GAIN by faking this with such good tracks? Nobody would be that stupid. |

someone mentioned that it's probably the same guy who faked the confield and draft releases.. there may actually be a guy who each year ae releases a new one fakes their releases then gets tons of people to listen to his music.. but we'll see in 8 weeks when its released.. im kinda hoping this isn't it actually. |

I like it, but its definately not Æ. Autechre tend to use way too many granular effects on their beats, and there aren't any on this album. The melodies kinda sound similar, but the beat arrangements are too obvious. You can hear this being programmed in flp! Plus the really abrasive parts are way too subtle. And the sounds in pro radii sound like they were sampled from second bad vibel. But I say download it, and enjoy it. CX; You went from 100% sure it is and to 110% sure it isn't in a matter of minutes there... |
