I only have 1 copy and i forgot how long it was. Which ever
one i got from aesthetics.

People wont want to believe it but there have been promo
copies sent out already and people that have varified that
it is legit.

but it doesnt sound like autechre

warp180 180 a complete change in direction. Anyways
this has their musical fingerprint on it. Like when you hear
it, you kind of know its autechre. The people believing that
it is fake are going to be upset at hearing something that
they dont want to hear.

They are expecting a branch off of confield and draft. We
dont decide which direction they go musically. Certain fans
will have to accept that.

"it" isnt specific enough, there are 2 distinctly different
albums we're all listening to here

can you be more specifc than "it"? there are two distinctly
different "Untilted" albums going around.

someone could actually be more then one person, can't
it/they?

no yes, lcc is not identical on both albums,
although and they are quite equal. there are
two quite different albums out there. pro radii are
is also not different on the two albums.

and that's the truth.

I want more fakes, there aren't enough. Could we get 10
different versions going? ++++

At the moment I'm more inclined to believe that that longer
version is real (the one that doesn't have the sitar in
Iera).

I'm finding this all quite amusing, truth be told. Other
artists ought to do stuff like this if they really want to
ensure that casual fans buy their CDs (dedicated fans will
be buying them anyway).

No. There are bunches of ways to make a parabolic beat (what
you are describing). I am talking about a granular technique
that is just as popular, but sounds in that song like it has
been done with buffer overide. I am very familiar with
buffer overide as well, and I don't like using it cause its
pretty easy to recognize.

offline ThomasRhombus from ipihchi (Saint Helena) on 2005-02-16 13:56 [#01501315]
Points: 97 Status: Regular

i wasnt just referring to a parabolic beat necessarily. that
little 16th note... rant was for the "bouncing ball"
technique specifically . Yeah, i just dont think its using
that specific filter. I dont like dbx bufferoverride effect
plugin either, and thats why im disagreeing with you here. I
dont hear it at all in any of the songs. No buffoveride in
version 1 or version 2. Lots of "parabolic" / fast bouncing
ball beat stuff in Version 1 though.

TAxidermist your a fag, why do you have a ball sack under
the brittish FAG ... oh im sorry i mean flag.

you dont know what the crack your talking about. buffer
overide my ass. Sounds nothing like it.

One time I made a parabolic beat with like waves and lfo's
and stuff. It was about the most technical musical thing
i've done. ANd all it did was repeat over and over. Heh.

All of this nonsense has given me an idea though. Next time
Autechre announce a new album I'll be sure to leak a fake I
made myself with Max/MSP and cause ripples of chaos
throughout the world of peer-2-peer and electronic music
forums.

Hmmm, very odd. Somebody must've had "words" with them i
suppose. Vinyl exchange always have promos in stock, usually
well in advance of the release date.

Well, at least we know there are promo cds floating
about now.
