I know my track choice but I'm not telling. Which is good
for you because no one wants to hear.

i know i joined just for this reason. i probably would've
joined anyway, but...

still no idea what track i'm going to do. it's really hard
to work on music when i'm so busy with school

there should probably be some kind of limit to who can
enter, not based on points, but like by the register date,
because it's really not fair for people to join just for
this contest

earned by their hard work and now our fellow native xlters
can't win a contest because some newcomer slut is gonna have
it!!11

i'm sorry guys

XLTRONIC SKINHEADS! :O

but apart from that, I agree.

You are not forced to submit both tracks at once. Just make
sure to include your MB ALIAS when you submit your tracks.

Participants who reveal their tracks in public will be
disqualified. I know it might sound harsh, but just do your
thing, OK?

After the competition you have one free Autechre remix-album
made by xlt-members :o)

Why not? You're talented in being creative (skellington,
your painting(s)). What do you have to lose? It's all about
having fun with it, not the competition.
If both our tracks suck bigtime, we gonne compliment
eachother anyway. :)

Is anyone going to actually add anything to their mix,, or
are you just going to cut apart the original sounds and run
them through shitty plugins?

i'm thinking of doing some bass-playing on top, maybe cut in
some samples and through some cut's from other Ae songs too

offline Phobiazero from the next Xltronic (Sweden) on 2003-03-31 01:46 [#00624833]

The best thing would be to NOT discuss the track you're
about to remix. Keep it for yourself until the voting has
ended.

It's totally OK to discuss remixing techniques etc... but
don't even mention WHAT track you're about to remix.

oh, i'm not even cuttin in parts of the original track...i'm
doin it old school hand made, like grandma's biscuits and
waffles
needless to say, if it doesn't get voted for, i won't be too
surprised

Did anyone catch ae on Mixing It last night?
Not a bad little mix of 30 tracks in 15mins. I'd have
preferred it they'd done a mix of their own stuff though.

BTW This is my first posting on this board and I did
explicitly join to enter the remix comp. Does that make me a
bad person?
Anyhow, to appease those who, quite rightly perhaps, are
miffed by the newbies joining just for the competition I
typed up the Autechre kit list which appeard in this months
Future Music mag. All I need to know is where do I post it?
Here? Or do I send it to some other address to be archieved
-- if it hasn't been sent posted up already, 'course.

OK?

love their music - and get v inspired by what they do.

Check out the remix that I did for Autechre?s Gnit.
