I am excited about this contest. I have one mix done, which I am pretty happy with, and am tossing around ideas for a second one. I imagine this is just as exciting for Autechre to hear so many different interpretations of their stuff. I am surprised other artists don't do things like this, although they might and I just haven't heard about it. Mark Spybey from Dead Voices on Air was going to release a remix/trib thing that some people on the #DVOA irc chatroom put together a few years ago but I don't think that ever happened. |

I still think all Xltronic members who enter into this remix contest should, immediately upon submitting their 2 remixes, lose eligibility in the voting process, so as to avoid the inevitable bias that comes with being an active participant and arbiter. |
