also they have been champions twice and they brought a great
team this time... so people are not guilty for seeing
argentina as favourites

but this is the good thing about football... favourites can
loose

well tolstoyed they had to do penalty kicks so it could've
gone either way.

i just supported argentina that's all.

the general opinion saw germany as favorites. because:

1) they're the local team
2) they've had been playing great so far.

well, the general impression i got was that germans were
favourites before this game..not that it matters.

i wonder why messi was brought to this championship..quite
odd decision to not put him in there..

offline OK on 2006-06-30 11:59 [#01930003]

well i think when they had to change goalkeeper ruined the
plans to bring him in

you were so impressed by argentina a week ago it's odd they
had to go to penalties.

anyway, two more brilliant games on tomorrow, so you better
sort out that tv transmission thing of yours :)

he wasn't playing on previous matches much either..do you
imagine ronaldinho being brought to germany to sit on the
bench? i don't..

played all the overtime vs mexico... didn't do much.

yeah... I am not so sad... I am very proud... in fact...
I didn't believe in this Argentinean team at the
beginning...

now I understand the trainer Pekerman...
and the players have always tried to play the best football
possible... that is what wants the Argentinean town...

It's true, we had a lot of bad luck with our goalkeeper
Abbondancieri...

I already said previously that Abbondancieri is very good
for penalties... he has saved to their teams in finals with
penalties...

fuck...

but all this is already history...

I won't speak about the German team... and about the
referee's acting...

everybody could see...

I hope none of you has to see at a definition with penalties
for their teams, it is very cruel...

well... now... I will hope our Brazilian brothers kick
German asses in the final game...

I am absolutely convinced that the German team cannot win to
the Brazilians...

the Brazilians are the best, they will always be the
best...

I love you Argentina! thanks for everything!

and I wish them good luck for all you...
sometimes... some luck is necessary...

anyway... I continue thought that this world cup sucks...

:)

brazil better not underrate france as spain did

a team with henry, rivery, zidane, vieira.... cannot be a
bad team

Ukrania played a fair match, a shame the 2nd goal of Italy
was offside.

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2006-06-30 15:17 [#01930131]

im quite sure brazil will win in the end, but with the best
5 teams (brazil, france, england, germany, italy) anything
could happen really..still..im totally impressed by the
strength brazil plays with and they sort of have the most
players that can decide a match on their own.

"I won't speak about the German team... and about the
referee's acting... "

it's always the refs fault isn't it :)

can you point out a dubious decision in germany vs argentina
match?

ref allowed a bit rougher game, but that's soemthing girls
aren't used of :)

the only mistake was when he should have shown a yellow card
to ballack for simulation. i never liked ballack for that
sort of shit..he will be just the right prick to play for
chelsea next year..

germany and argentina played well cautious in the first
half..everything was done in the midfield..very tactical.
once argentina scored (from a corner shot) germans started
attacking and argentines couldn't stop them..especially
because ref allowed it a little rougher and that was
obviously good for the germans. after they equalized
argentinians started to attack more again. pekerman changed
some players prior to equalizing goal and it was a decision
to keep that 1-0 lead apperantly..and that was just a bad
decision. in the overtime i was surprised to see germany
settle for penalty shootouts.

oh, and another mistake was when klose made a faul on
argentine goalkeeper but ref didn't see it. goalkeeper got
hurt in that clash btw.

great italy, i'm very happy! all goals were regulars imo.

now we are waiting for germany... i hope we kick out this
presumptuous germans from this world cup. i ready many bad
things about italians on german's magazine, now it will be
the field to say who will be the best.

remember... in the last friendly match... about 2 months ago
we won 4-1... ... ...

italy and germany have 50/50 chance imo. these things
between 'neighbours' are always tough and can't be compared
to any other matches. it would be the same it brazil and
argentina met in the final. it's always open..
