I saw some football on Sunday.

Is it just me or do they all just spend their time trying to
foul each other and then throwing their hands up in the air.
It's like a reverse Michael Flatley dance.

They really need to introduce some new rules into the game.

1) Video replay. Invaluable in Rugby and would really solve
a lot of this fucking diving.

2) If someone dives they should be banned for 5 matches with
no pay. If they do it again, 10 matches with no pay. That
should stop that fucking nonsense.

3) No blood, no foul. That would stop all that rolling about
pretending to be in agony and then instantly feeling fine as
soon as the ball is in their favour. Fucking overpaid cunts.

Might be "so little intelligent" but it's so true.

To quote van Basten:
We were better, they were smarter.

I do think holland played better

I just say that figo didnt fake more than van bommel...
and I also say that south european players dont fake more
than north european players

It's just ridiculous that we are talking about who faked the
best or who faked better or not... this is not how football
should be played.

This is one of the reasons why I stopped playing football
and why I don't follow the national leagues anymore.
Like giginger says, I'm all for using camera footage as
well. Then we will see fair football again.

good work ukraine!

btw, if you guys are talking about whether figo got an elbow
kick in his head or not, i say he got it. and he got it
really hard. i don't think it was intentional though.

did you see that penalty by the ukranian guy? that was
class... ala panenka

switzerland deserved to pass though

good work?

this is when i draw the line between you being provocative
and you being outright silly.... the swiss weren't very
inventive but conceded no goals... you seem to be all about
great play and not result and in the end i'm starting to
think you simply enjoy good visual play but don't know much
about the rest at all..

as for Deco the guy is brilliant, and i can tell you the
england people are very lucky, annd they know it.

anyway buzz me on slsk once in a while you muffler!!

haha why do you all get so bitter when your teams lose? :)

i haven't seen the match between ukraine and
switzerland..well only a little and the penalties. i simply
said good work ukraine because lots of people thought
they're complete outsiders after they lost that opening
matcg against spain.

yeah nacmat, that was a classy penalty.

Tell me, as a Real Madrid fan, have you fully accepted a
slithering turncoat such as Figo as a galactico or do you
silently hold him in contempt?

keep up! tolstoyed loves Figo; he's a has-been.

(:P he's been playing well in this WC though, even if he
was a bit of a girl against Holland)

alright the booze has worn off. well done australia, you did
us all proud. i watched the 2nd half thru a pub window.
closest ive been to a soccer crowd.

'ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh YOU FAT BASTARD.'

offline DaggerHappy from Australia on 2006-06-26 21:16 [#01927859]

that penalty should have been a yellow card for simulation.
a tragic way to go. italy defended really well as australia
dominated the second half and italy did make lots of
opportunities early, so i don't have too many complaints. it
just should've gone to extra time.

i know if australia won like that, i wouldn't be happy.

i'll be honest, before australia were in world cup ive taken
little to no interest in actually watching football
(soccer:) ) seriously. Except from what I've seen in
Australia's matches, theres something really fucked up going
on with the refereeing.
Whos idea is it to have the decisions of the game up to one
guy running around whos quite able to not see whats going on
and make mistakes, when theres cameras and replays going on
all around him : (

i didn't like italy (as always in the last period) anyway
i'm happy for the final result.
i think red card of materazzi was a big mistake, while the
penaly was doubtful.

now we are pretty lucky 'cos we will play vs ucraine anyway
it will be not an easy match also because shevchenko will be
ready to kick our ass out of this world cup.

have gone through.

i think playing against 10 men isn't as easy as it seems.
italy couldn't score against usa when they were down to 9
men for an entire half.

yeah, spain is my tip 2-0 or 3-1 perhaps.
