Well at least everyone knows Ivanov now.

Holland were shit again. Even Portugal's team was more
coherent.

Btw, Deco the most important player?? He won a lot of
prizes, yes, but that doesn't make one great.

I do hope that Portugal have lost a lot of sympathy from
football fans though, they are generally a disgrace to the
profession with their sissy-behaviour (yes Figo received a
bit of a shoulder and got his hairdo messed up (oh my),
unintentionally at most, but he made the most out of it and
more, since he agitated the Dutch players enough to screw up
even more thoroughly).

Ah heck, I think I'll support die Schweiz now :)

Come on nacmat, talking in caps doesn't make your point more
valid. You've agree with me that Vigo magnified of what
actually happened, right?

I guess you see this from another perspective as you are
from Southern Europe and things like this happen more often
over there, than for example in the English league.

Football nowadays is not only about having the ability to
play well but also knowing how to act and that's a disgrace
to football.. even more so because the FIFA won't use camera
footage to prevent things like this.

What was the actual played time?

Australia v Italy

If Australia score first, 2-2, with Australia through on
penalties.

If Italy score first, 3-1 to Italy.

yes in spain we fake more

robben is spanish right? (he showed in the premierleague
this season)

about figo: yes, he really magnified of what
actually happened.... but please, dont be blind, did you see
van bommel 5 minutes before?? figo slightly touched him (bad
from him) and van bommel fell to the flor as if he had been
shot
so, is van bommel south european?

netlon:

deco plays for barça, and I wouldnt change him for any
player in his position... yes, in my opinion he is one of
the best in the world

figo is touchy but he does get lots of shit..every time he
gets the ball someone tries to knock him down..it must be
pretty terrible for someone who likes to play like him, he
can't get his game going that way, and well, it's football
fans that miss a lot because of this too.

i too like deco, though i thought he played way better for
porto imo.

about deco:

clear example of how we see football in a total opposite
way

I think he is so much better now
at porto he was so individualist in his game, now he plays
for the team, he works a lot more, and he has the same
winning spirit

I think Deco was more important to Porto than he is to
Barcelona at the moment. The other 'stars' seem to outshine
him. I saw lots of tricks that didn't lead to anyhing
yesterday.

Van Bommel: well he always thought he was great himself at
PSV (once, after a lazy display during a match, he was
described as having played as if he were one of the greatest
players alive (or something down that line)). His ego hasn't
diminished in size, that I'm sure of. I think he learned his
"whining" tricks in Spain, to be honest.

Robben is a diver too, and it's unbecoming of professional
football players.

True, Robben is a great football player but he's such an
ass, he falls down the moment someone points a finger at
him.

Falling down when someone touches you is something else but
falling down and pretend something really bad happened is
sneaky.

About Southern Europe/America.. it does happen all around
the globe but it's almost a given thing.. those players are
much more sneaky.

and now lets compare them with boxers

well, boxing and football are two quite different things
imo. one would expect to get hit if he entered a boxing
match.

about a month ago there was some sort of fight tournament
close to here..i saw some recordings and it was mad..it's
like k1 except this was real..they're allowed to hit each
other even when they're on floor..and it gets really bloody
and stuff..brazilians appear to be the top fighters..

This edition of the World Cup was doomed from the beginning
anyway since Van Basten selected Ryan Babel (Ajax sub) and
four right backs over Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

Who?

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

Remember that name. He was the topscorer in Holland this
past season scoring some 30-odd goals.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, I tell you.

Many people said it was not. Materazzi should have been
admonished not expelled. Del Piero is out now and Totti is
playing. There are many admonitions for australians though.

And their next oponent is either switserland or oekraine, so
that won't be a big problem! getting far without even
playing one minute of decent football.
