manchester fans in 1999 in the 89th minute of the champions

well, the only teams i don't think too highly of and other
seem to favourise are argentina, holland and spain.

and again, why is it so important that ronaldo moves? :)

pretty dissapointing

i agree it's best he doesn't move at the moment as he could
rip.

i'm sure portugal holland will be a good game... portugal
are lucky to have scolari and as far as holland goes ruud
has been weak but robben has been on form.

in portugal vs holland match either team could win. they're
both pretty similar teams.. maybe portugal has a slightly
better chance because of figo, but if nistelrooy has a good
day it could be the other way around. but against the big
teams neither of these two has any chance :)

this year

I would like to see a portugal england 1/4 final

if holland wins, which will happen if only to take revenge
for their loss against them in the euro 2004 in portugal,
they have to play the winner of England - Equador. They can
beat either of these teams...after that I dont know the
schedual,...

england doesn't look to impressive..nor germany, nor
brazil..but the thing with these big teams imo is that they
can step up when they're behind and start doing impossible
stuff and it usually works for them. with most of the other
teams the things is they can play as good as they play and
that's it..if they're behind they can't turn it in their
advantage..it's like they give up..

figo is portugals zidane. both WERE good player in the
previous century. bunch of old farts. too bad the french got
to the next round.

and ruud, he might not start, but i'm sure he will.

figo is still pretty much the best portugese player
though..that says it all really.

yeah, though watching germany attack has been great so far
and i must say it comes as a bit of a surprise to me!

well, they won luxembourg just before the cup started
7-0..and they were scoring a lot in other friendlies too so
it isn't that big surprise really. though sweden deffence
was a disgrace yesterday.. podolsky and klose had so many
chances as if it was a training and not a match. i think
ballack alone had 8 shots towards goal..

you can be surprised. im just saying against that diffence
togo would have scored 5 if they wanted to.

simply enjoying the german way of play is something that
surprises me :)
and i didn't follow anything much before the final stages.

i love watching germany play, they seem to be the only team
that doesn't just blast away when they go forward, except
for one player on the right side that has distance shots.
they make real opportunites to score. and their whole game
is pretty tight, except for maybe defence.

Tomorrow Australia will play. We absolutely have to win
against
Italy, otherwise we will have to go home! :D

I understand hobbes here

germany has won all times in history, but they never played
nice fotball... this year they are really playing nice and
is enjoyable to watch them play... and that is a surprise
for any football fan

might score this half.

they're much more elegant now.

deco and costinha wont play against england

still, I think portugal could do it... both teams are good
teams but I feel like we still have to see the best of
england

I cheer for portugal though

this is what happens when you bring children to world cup
:D

i wanted portugal to win but i also felt a little sorry for
van basten who will now probably have to take all sort of
shit because he didn't put in the nistelrooy jerk.

i don't think portugal has much chance against england-it
wouldn't be any different even if costinha and deco
played-but i kinda hope they win somehow..i like figo a lot,
and it would be a great national career end for him.

I think deco is one of the most important players in the
world really

in te last 4 years here is deco´s curriculum:

2003 - portugal league and uefa cup
2004 - portugal league and champions league (and runner up
in eurocup)
2005 - spanish league
2006 - spanish league and champions league

maybe, yeah, but they don't play hard enough..they're sort
of too weak..i mean they don't look as strong and compact as
english..dunno how to describe this really. they are strong
individually but not so much as a team, though they work
hard and if english have a bad day it could well happen
portugal will win. imo.

third 1/4 finals (in a major comp) in a row for england
against scolari... and it's not too promising for sven and
his boys who lost twice so far.

omg do the players in holland know about fairplay?.

on mexico vs argentina: Argentina played not so great and
Mexico didn't suck. but i think the score was fair.

germany vs argentina: It's and evenly balanced game, but
argentina is filled with cracks, so i think that'll make the
difference. argentina wins.

england vs portugal: I'll be surprised if england doesn't
win.

"omg do the players in holland know about fairplay?"

I think they played on because they felt Figo screwed them
by faking he was caught by an elbow from Boularouz. Like if
you fuck us, we fuck you.
