it appears brazil team stars are overrated. fat slow
presleys.

nah - i doubt they will - but they need to bring him on a
couple of times before he`ll be fully match fit. and theres
no accounting for ericksons substitution tactics

haha, brazil played with like half strength. afterall they
have 6 more games to play.

ronaldo was pure class. he didn't even have to play because
they won so easily. just observe his wisdom. he's standing
there and when the ball hits him he scores. since ronaldinho
decided no to serve him with quality passes, there's not
much he could have done (not that he needed it).

just watch him in the games when they will need a goal :)

right - when they need to brasil seem to be able to raise
the game 100% better than they showed tonight

Hrvatska can be proud. Going down fighting 1-0 to this
Brasil side is really something!

Yeah right, it call it overindulged.

I'm really glad van Basten decided to keep players with an
attitude like that outside the team.

holland currently doesn't even have a player with such
qualities. no idea what you're talking about. they clearly
suck.

so ronaldinho decided not to srve him?

man, never knew such a blind person talkiing about football

I am begining to dislike gus hiddink

I remember in last WC, korea won italy and spain with very
suspicious acting by the referees

spanish got really mad and complaint a lot, and gus hiddink
said that he was surprised that spanish didnt know how to
handle the los. he was all like stranged about spain
complaining... like if he didnt know that the referee had
made serious mistakes in favour of korea

4 years later, just because japan was given an illegal goal
that was preceded by a fault he starts pushing everybody and
acts all crazy, like with total right to it

seems like he doesnt remember how he got to semifinals last
time

I'm not talking about quality, I'm talking about attitude
here like Davids for example.

i see.

nacmat, as far as i know ronaldinho has similar role in
brazils' team as zidane has for france. and as you probably
saw zidane made quite a few excellent passes towards henry.
ronaldo didn't get a single one from ronaldinho. but as i
said they didn't even have to go there.

henry moves

ronaldo is a sticky piece of dead meat in the field

england and france: low
argentina, holland, brazil, portugal: just ok
germany, italy: good
zcech republic: the best so far

(among the big names)

thru the tournaments and win them.

wasn't it just like that last world cup? and then he scored
two decisive goals when he needed to?

and didn't he score 23 goals for madrid this year?

yes, and he will score in this worldcup too... so what

that doesnt mean he moves

if you are trying to discuss the fact that henry moves a lot
more than ronaldo, fine with me... I ll be at the bar

see, that's my point. why run and vaste energy if his team
can deliver? he has that sort of style.

i never said he moves, he always plays like that. if he
wasn't important for brazil im sure they could find other 20
strikers to take his spot.

yeah, he played the best when he was in barca, but im aying
he is still a top striker, despite his age and overweight.

of course he is

I fear him when braça plays madrid

and I would bring him to barça again if I could, but his
attitude in real madrid is really bad, all the stadium is
sick of him

and I thought he would change attitude with brazil... its
still too soon to judge, but looks like it

don't tell me they would rather have that ibrahimovic
master?
anything else but that would be great, cheers.

offline nacmat on 2006-06-13 17:25 [#01919503]

about brazil:

defense: roberto and cafu are good, but too old. that will
be a weak point when better teams fight them

centrals: they are ok, nothing special, but they dont make
mistakes, so thats not a weak point really

midfield: very nice, incredible really, emerson is tough and
ze roberto makes a good distribution, then kaka, and
ronaldinho, what can I say... 1000% talent

but I think they lack a real brain there, somthing like
redondo for madrid and argentina, or guardiola for barça or
pirlo for italy... a person that controles the time of the
game... emerson doesnt do that, ze roberto could, but he has
no protagonism in that team... ronaldinho doesnt either (on
barça xavi does it)

so despite of a great midfield, I think they dont have a
real director of the game

attack:

I think its a mistake to play with adriano and ronaldo
together as they are pretty much the smae kind of striker,
and both are in not very good shape lately, but the real
problem is not that they are not fit, but the fact that they
bother eachother as they play thesame way.

I would include robinho instead onw of them.... and what
other strikers do they have?... strange batista is not
there

ronaldinho had at least 3 guys around him at every time. not
easy to pull good stuff.

if the motherfucking president of your country has to tell
you that you're fat. you should start taking it seriously
hahaha.

I dont really worry about what madrid supporters want for
the future

but I would love ibrahimovich in my team

what do you think about gudjohnsen? he is about to come to
barcelona

(I know he is not in the level of ronaldo and the such)

yeah ronaldinho had a lot of people on him, that why kaka
found himself free many times

i reckon Gudjohnsen is a totally class act. Power, speed
and a proven ability to score - with a bit of consistent
first team selection, he could be a killer player,
unfortunatley Morinihos luxury of regular squad rotation has
affected his impact at Chelsea

I am afraid he wont be included many times in the first 11
at barcelona

or maybe yes, who knows... but instead of who?

ronaldinho?
etoo?
messi?

i don't know gudjohnsen all that good. i hate chelsea for
some reason. not my sort of team at all. i don't even see
many of their games. maybe i saw like two of their games
this year..and both times gudjohnsen didn't play.

i wonder when messi is going to get his chance..maybe if
ronaldinho is out for some reason..they play in similar
positions, no?

gudjohnsen will play as much as larsson played i suppose..

dislike mourinho - however i rate gudjohnsen and would love

messi plays whenever he wants... but in barça he goes in
substitution of jiuly, so that is right wing striker

giuly isn't all that good imo. or maybe it was just the
games i saw. he plays in a position where consistency is
needed i guess, but sometimes he can play quite bad..he
doesn't fit in barca at all..i'd much rather see messi play
in his position constantly :)

nacmat, i have to disagree with ;
england: low, brazil: just ok, germany: good

i think germany will struggle against a good team, i mean
they let in 2 goals to costa rica! hows that better than
england? england first half looked good at least. i would
thus put brazil on par with england at the moment, and agree
aregentina have looked one of the best.

i think given the fact that brazil held back a abit against
croatia and only scored one goal, and what australia did the
other night, brazil are going to really go after australia
and murder them 3-0, maybe worse. which could secure their
spot in the next round, throttle off again against japan,
and concentrate on the round of 16. also, ronaldhino has
stated that australia are their key group rivals.

we're screwed

i don't know dude...... i can't believe ronaldhino could be
serious! Croatia made the last four in '98.......

brazil seems like a team that cruise until they are pushed,
and then they turn it on......

either way, i agree, we're screwed!

yeah, zidane has said how the french side has lacked hunger
and spirit of the 1998 world cup team (or something along
those lines). they did poorly at last world cup, euro 2004?
and so far against switzerland they didn't look great.
