some people dont realise that we are all always spiritual
infants... there is no "enlightenment" because the more we
learn, the more questions there are.

well even if mimi didn't mean (the way we took it) the
religious people in power comment, what you said tibbar is
true, most in power are non religious

God is in support of humans having freedom of choice. it is
well documented in the Bible.

of course, there ARE chjoices he opposes.

but you still have your freedom to make the choice, dont
you?

The thing that annoys me most about Christians is that they
want public policy (education, legislation, health care,
etc.) to be based on their delusions.

And you can't talk to them about it. It's like trying to
discuss gynecology with people who think the stork brung
'em.

okay if that was in response to my bewilderment i give up on
trying to follow your train of thought.

anyhow, my point is that i prefer important relationships to
be with people who share my values.

this reminds me of how God treated pharoah... he gave
pharoah the strength to do what he wanted... he didn't
oppose pharoah, he didnt stop him, he let him do what he
wanted... he, in fact "hardened his heart", strengthening
him to do his own will.

of course, his will lead to his death.

brainwashed people you speak of.

Ask yourselves this: what are the things that are true no
matter what you believe? Those things are the truth.

What are the things that are only true as long as you have
faith in them? Those things are bullshit.

I think we all should give each other a hug and say "oh,
youre all so nice, I love ya" and stop beung scared of doing
wrong. If you have a problem, let's say youre depressed. Ask
yourself. Why am I depressed? What is the reason to it?
Why did it happen? and how can I learn to handle the
feeling.

LOVE DUDE!

well, here where I live we recently (a few years ago) had
religion taken out of schools... I agree with it... I don't
think it should be part of an institution that you are
required by law to attend... I believe if you want religion,
you go to church or whatever... so, I am a Christian (I
guess) yet I do think it should be separate from school and
the like...

to believe in him to make him real...

but you NEED God to make you real...

points toward the spirit being eternal

i think jupitah posted a real interesting conclusion
regarding this

he asked whether we thought consciousness happened as the
result of an 'event'

or whether we thought there was no event specifying the
conception of consciousness

this implies that

if consciousness and 'hence' a spirit are eternal, then it
would follow that these are things which flow beyond
physical birth and death.. encompassing concepts of an
afterlife.. or even reincarnation.

i thought it was an excellent angle. doesnt exclude
possibilities as being false, rather supposes what cant be
perceived by us in our current situations :)

these are the same people bombing trade centers and killing
babies in oklahoma... so support that if you like, but if
there IS justice in the universe, that system will burn.

oh that wasnt directed At tibbar. it was posted in

i think id be agreed with in what i said. i see it all the

there are those who will take into consideration a pursuit
of spirituality, and those who will just fob it off.

i want to be the former kind of person.. deep down i really
want to live
