oh and harold ramis was the doctor in "as good as it gets"
so he's a bit plump now...

now, supposedly mr. Murray wasn't in the second Charlie's
Angels because he got in a fight with Lucy Liu while filming
the first one.. ha ha..

good for him.

Wow, I had no idea Bill was originally slated to play
Forrest Gump ! That woulda been sumpthing.

Yeah, Ramis is pretty plump these days, even 10 years ago
when he directed and cameoed in Groundhog Day (again, as a
doctor), he was showin' the pounds. I'm getting more certain
each day that Ghost Busters III WILL be made, and in time
for the 20th Anniversary of the original.

Can't remember - this winter I think. I saw the trailer for
it... and there's tons of posters for it on ebay. Unreleased
Squarepusher track on the soundtrack too, very odd...

I taped it especially for you - then I realised I'd taken
the video lead out earlier because Emma was using a video
camera. I nearly wept with frustration. Phresch says it'll
be on next week over his way so he'll tape it for you :D

Bought 'The Royal Tenenbaums' yesterday, finally - I saw it
on Rental when it came out - watched it, well fell asleep
watching it, last night :)

I also bought 28 Days Later (NOT a zombie film at all!),
Resident Evil, and Apocalypse Now Redux - they were all in
the '2 for £10' section at HMV ;)

I hope you were just tired ;) I love The Tenenbaums, even
more than Rushmore...

I d/led 28 Days Later and finally watched it Sunday - some
really trippy stuff in the first half, but I thought it lost
it towards the end. "I PROMISED THEM WOMEN!" Bah, suck
balls.

Bill's new film getting mixed reviews - Dark Horizons
praised Bill but said that the film was unconvincing with
it's love story angle and it would've worked better as a
comedy short. Other sites have said it'll be a crime if it's
not up for some oscars. Hmm.

yeah, it's cos I was tired :P I put it on after I watched
'28 Days Later', at about 1am. I agree with you about 28
Days Later - it had some good points, but was basically a
rip-off of Day of the Triffids, Dawn of the Dead, and Day of
the Dead ;)

I've heard Day Of The Triffids mentioned in almost every
review of the movie, I haven't seen it but it seems it's
certainly a big inspiration...

Long detailed and positive review of 'Lost In Translation'
here

In Day of the Triffids (the book by John Wyndham), a man
wakes up in hospital after being temporarily blinded. He
finds he is almost the only person with sight. A meteor (or
something) had blinded just about everyone else. He finds a
woman and a child, and they make it to some big house in the
countryside. The Triffids are big man-killing mobile plants,
which were cultivated before the meteor shower... they have
the advantage over all the blind people, and their sting is
fatal.

gonna read that review now ;) cheers hombre

Saw another Bill flick - Speaking Of Sex - this weekend.
Stars James Spader and Lara Flynn Boyle, and is meant to be
a light hearted romp about a psychatrist being sued for
having sex with his patient. Bill plays a lawyer not unlike
his character in Wild Things. Not a very good film if the
truth be told, and Bill was subdued and ineffective (largely
due to the dodgy script). Also, he ends up fucking the
mother from Home Alone! Truly shocking.

In other BM news, Lost In Translation opened to very
pleasing figures this weekend - $900,000, considering it
only opened in 23 screens that's damn good.

so no one saw 'The Man Who Knew Too Little' the other night
then?

I thought it was pretty good, got me laughing :D got some
mixed reviews but Bill Murray is really good in it.

"Please don't call me by my real name, it destroys the
reality I'm trying to create."

Altho I have it on video, I watched it again, mainly to see
if either version had bits cut out... it is a good film, a
real grower.

I fucking missed it! I turned it on halfway through and went
"Ah fuck..." - I will see it eventually.

I taped Mad Dog and Glory the other night though, gonna
watch that tonight probably.

And I have a new Bill avatar from LIT, hopefully a UK
release date coming soon....

it I was probably full of unrealistic expektations :D

Watched MD&G - I thought there was nowhere near enough Bill,
but when he was in it he was excellent (typical BM quip:
"Put the magazine down before you hurt yourself!") and De
Niro was quite stunning at times - an amazing understated
performance, I turned round to pOgO halfway through and said
"Jesus fuck, he's amazing, it's so...." "Real." she said.
And she was right.

Aside from that, Paramount are showing "The Best Of SNL"
every Wedensday, FINALLY! I saw an ad for it, and there was
ol' Bill himself! Since the UK NEVER showed this programme
on TV I am extremely chuffed :D I'm gonna tape the whole
fucking bunch!
