that's explained away quickly the book starts with (spoilers for beginning of Ministry for the Future) a heat wave that kills 3 million Indian people. it's quite a good chapter. in the later chapter i mentioned it's explained that BJP was in power wheb that happened, so they get blamed (not too rationally, but politics isn't). so then a broad coalition comes into power. and there's other factions as well |
