bunny chow - 3.5/5

i can't imagine what this must be like for international
audiences, but i found it highly enjoyable because i can
relate to it a lot, even though i'm a 'capetonian' and these
guys are 'joburgers'. we live far apart, but the
similarities are there. the acting is kind of silly in
places but that's okay, because the movie is generally quite
improvised. i dig the muslim guy, he's really classic.

Dog Soldiers, B-movie bliss, lots of fun and it even managed
to make me feel nauseous at one part. I like that. 4/5 I
learned that Sean Pertwee does the voice of Hahka from
Killzone.

Mystic River - 2.5/5

I fell asleep for most of it but what I did see merits 2
stars.

Bonus half star for ending. Not for having an ending - just
for finishing.

· Valley Girl (1983) 4½.
Aimless film about a Valley Girl who falls for "punk"
Nicolas Cage who, as per usual, is wooden. It's like, total
barf dude!

· Robo Vampire (1988) 1½. & that's being very
generous.

It has the worst dubbing I've ever seen.. someone mouths a
'B' sound, yet an 'S' sound is heard... and for jumping
Chinese Vampires, I prefer The Oracle, which is a
damn fine film!

watch?

Usually it consists of me standing in front of my collexion
for ½ and hour, scanning and re-scanning until finally I
choose one to watch... otherwise it's the film I've just
bought/D.L.ed which makes the process easier.

i take that flitting thought as a challenge, sir!

if you need me, i'll be bulking up on weight gain formula in
preparation. i have summoned the ghost of our old friend mr.
benoit to assist in my training using the same ouija board
that ingmar bergman used to summon the spirit of satan.

He-he, that's not bad--obviously I rested on my laurels
after punning Part I of the 2-part name, and did not have
the forethought to experiment with Part The Second to see if
improvements could be made. Shame on me!
