The Garbage Pail Kids movie (1987) 5/10

· Doesn't deserve to be in the bottom 100 list on
imdb, it's fun! It features a bar called 'The Toughest Bar
In The World' plus 'The State Home For The Ugly'.

Live Free or Die Hard - 7/10 - Surprisingly enjoyable. I
liked the ludicrousness of the action sequences. Willis has
a face like an old leather bag which I find endearing.
1408 - 5/10 - Interesting premise pulled down by the fact it
just isn't scary.
Transformers - 7/10 - Was not prepared for this at all.
Stupid as fuck but thoroughly entertaining. A tighter script
couldv'e made it a summer blockbuster to remember.
Unnecessary urine jokes were a shame. Bays stereotypical
black males always makes me laugh (for the wrong reasons).
Next - 4/10 - Nicolas Cage's hair. Massive plot holes.
Wasted oppourtunities.
Marie Antoinette - 6/10 - Typical Coppola jr. film.
Ponderous without being insightful. Great costumes and sets
though.

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix 4½.

· Not as atrocious as The Goblet Of Fire, but some
bad acting, bad dialogue, very bad editing, the continuance
of the invisible Hogwarts Stylist, the embarrassing attempt
at modernisation, the usual disembowelment of the plot
conspire to make this a bad film.

you know when people will sometimes say about a children's
movie 'adults can enjoy it too'? this one is more like an
animated movie for adults that children can enjoy as well.
it's very funnee and the animation is like realness made
real!

Breach - 3/5: again a chris cooper in a white
collar/political environment which is always good. what
surprises me about the story is that it hardly explains
hanssen's side of the story (nothing other than that the why
doesn't matter, the fact is that it happened) which is
awfully disappointing.

Over The Hedge - 3/5: funny at times. entertaining too, but
in the end the concept, watching humans through the eyes of
animals, could have been exploited so much better. pretty
disappointing.

first part to be entertaining. the second part is what you

Compulsion (1959) 7½.

· Famous for the closing Orson Welles speech, which proved
so popular that it was released as a record. The film is
based upon the Leopold / Loeb case.
