I have "original" copies on vhs from RE:voir - great french
video store, where you can buy it. I plan to make copies for
my DVD archive and I will let you know when.
No, I don't live anywhere near Opole :)
I know "Walden" was easy to download on eMule.

Hmmm, I don't have Walden. I think I had "The Brig" and 2 or
3 more, but I deleted them by accident.

suffered the same fate as Mekas.

''Pretty Good War Movie'' week on History Television because
I've seen a bunch in the last week.

the freedom writers - 3,5/5 Big plus was the connection
that's being made between gangs and the holocaust. In
concept, but more importantly, the emotional connection for
the people involved, so to speak. That was a big eye-opener.

Taxidermia - I really don't know how to rate it. It's rather
not high art even if it wants to be. It's the mose artsy
slasher or exploitation or whatever you are ever likely to
see. I'll give it a 8/10 alone for the fact that it couldn't
have been made in Poland. Plus Tobin made the score and it
suits the movie very well.

It's a fucking awesome film, I've never seen anything like
it. It could have been very stupid and annoying but it's
just great and strange and insane.

It is ABSOLUTELY insane and very well done too. It just
seems to want to have more meaning than it possibly can
have. Or maybe I'm just imagining things.

Anyway, it is extremely fun to watch and I can recommend it
with little hesitation.

the movie Kontroll from a couple of years ago. You can
imagine my excitement after the first scene.

Hell in the Pacific - 4/5 Quite enjoyable up until the very
abrupt ending. the alternate ending on the DVD was much
better, I thought.

Little Miss Sunshine - 2/5 Ugg. A lot of unrealistic
characters on a bullshit roadtrip. It's impossible to give
a shit about any of them except maybe Alan Arkin, but only
because he is so funny. Too bad he is only sparsely
present. The rest of the family are annoying, pathetic,
self-absorbed losers.

Speaking of Toshiro Mifune- watched Red Sun on the History
Channel, Mifune + Charles Bronson. **/12 Pretty entertaining
and kind of goofy with the whole culture clash thing. Also
saw Apocalypto, kind of late to the party. It was
entertaining and polished, good for what it is. I like Mel.

last days - 3/5

i've come to the conclusion that 'm not too fond of Gus Van
Sants style. he really tends to bore me. although i find
myself being bored throughout the movie, i find that i think
about it quite a bit afterwards, like the movie haunts me
like a ghost. a disinterested ghost who's only haunting me
because there's no-one else around.

across this because it had a high imdb rate but i didn't

movie though.
Tideland - 8/10 Possibly my favourite thing Gilliam's been
involved in.
Idle Hands - 5/10 Meh.
Once Upon A Time In The Midlands - 7/10 It's Good. I like
the idea of a british western.
Black Christmas (remake) - 3/10 Snore.
New Police Story - 5/10 Oh Jackie, give up the action game
if you cant do it any more. This was a sad film to watch at
times you bloated, leather faced bastard.
Gay Niggers From Outer Space - 7/10 Nuff Said.
