The Last Emperor wasn't even an American film, let alone a
Hollywood one.

'memoirs of a geisha' is a hollywood production... thats
what i'm most annoyed about.

Last Emperor is a great film, i just find the choice of
language annoying.

U571 - 1/5

shitty american war film, laughable script and some of the
worst acting i've seen in a war film. The scene where one of
his crewe dies and the commander just goes 'god damn it'
without any emotion whatsoever sums it up really. After
watching 'Raise the Red Lantern' it probably enhanced the
shittyness factor of U571.

If you liked Kyonaskatsi or Powakatsi- cant ever spell
them- you will love it and its freshly on dvd. Love the
footage of the chicken factory.

Just got the Fog of War (oscar for best documentary last
year) gonna watch it tonight.

maybe its because i watched the original first but the
atmospere i thought was so much better in the original, also
the hollywood version ruined the best scene with cgi.

I actually thought that the remake was far more atmospheric
and the photography was in a different league altogether.
Overall, I just thought that the remake was a much more
efficient and absorbing movie.

Horror is my least favourite genre because most horror films
to dont really do what they say on the tin, but The Ring
made my hairs stand on end several times and that alone
impressed me enough to give it a high rating.

haha, on your website (babes list) you have Davina McCall
above Keira Knightley, also you've got Jordan and Jodie
Marsh in the list, i think they should be in the 'dogs'
list, not the babes list... the mistakes creep in when you
have a big website like that to maintain.

Yes. Batman & Robin was mindlessly (though not especially)
entertaining throughout, Amelie started off well then became
tedious.

I, robot

its a shame that this film is full of idiotic unfunny
comments and standard overused hollywoodish tricks, cos the
history itself is good and could have been a great movie

I would have used more like hitchcock´s suspense with the
robots, and I would have used a main caracter a little more
serious than will smith, his jokes make the movie a little
silly, and then when he is angry you just cant believe him

its a shame that hollywood insists in this silly jokes all
the time instead of doing better movies, they think thats
what people want, they must think we are stupid or
something

2.5/5

78.4% of people voting on the IMDb give it 7/10 or higher,

I liked the story as a whole
I liked the general flow and tension of the movie

but is these silly ancdotic coments and scenes that turn me
off

but I had a nice time in general... thats why I give it a
"c"

and besides, millions of peopel like britney spears and that
doesnt mean its good

but now I get why you told me that... cos what I said in my
post: " they (holywood) think thats
what people want, they must think we are stupid or
something "

well... its a shame anyway
