Gattaca, even though I've seen it about a mildred times. I
love the music, the colors, the architecture, the concept,
the incredibly melodramatic and drawn out ending, the
acting, the clothes, the faces, the sky, everything about
that film. And Ernest Borgnine is in it, which always brings
back pleasant Squarepusher related memories. Gnome sayin'?

I love Gattaca, such an underrated film, and not one bit of
slo-mo action!

I, Robot 3.5 / 5

was a good film, but was disappointed that Alex Proyas'
"mark" wasn't left on it, too many advertisements for
companies:

US Robotics
Audi
Converse
JVC

and overuse of a certain camera angle thingy (you know, the
swirly one)

Film Festival

Four Shades of Brown (Sweden) 5 out of 5

Styling of Songs from the 2nd Floor, shows how everything
turns to shit…3 hours but not a moment wasted….

Zatoichi (Japan – Kitano Takeshi) 5 out of 5

This samurai flick is a must see, totally ultra violent.

One Missed Call (Japan – Director: Takashi Miike) 3 out of
5

If you have seen the Grudge which is slightly better or
Japanese The Ring then this is a waste of time, if not why
not…not his best.

A Page of Madness with the film score played live by In The
Nursery 10/5

What can I say other than crazy super cool…the 1926 film
Japanese silent movie by Tenosuke Kingugasa had been lost
for 40 years but a print was found in his garden shed. A
seaman hires janitor in an insane asylum to free his wife
after she tries to kill herself and her baby, music inspired
by traditional Japanese instrumentation, percussion and
industrial music.

The Tulse Luper Suitcases part 1 Moab Story (Peter Greenway)
5 out 5

Can’t wait to see the rest, groundbreaking stuff.

Shaun of the Dead - 4 out of 5

Taking the piss out of Resident Evil… guys from Spaced…

Irreversible (France) 10 out 5

Definitely not for a faint hearted, think 8 mm or maybe
Memento or Kill Bill Volume 2 but a lot more ultra violent
and truly fucked up…

Fahrenheit 911 (Mike Moore) 3 out of 5

Tedious, thin on facts and a two-hour political campaign to
elect the Democrats and character assassinate a sitting
duck: Bush and Bin Ladens, done much better on the NET.
America centric, Mike Moore needs do to a paper in
globalisation for goodness sakes. Watch Big Trouble instead
(Tim Allen) or the X files finale where smoking man gets
it!

DVD Lately

The Company of Wolves (Writer: Angela Carter) 5 out of 5
