The beats have a "World" music meets electronic music kind
of vibe to it that sounds familiar.

But then you have this synth thing going on over top of it,
which is WAY too prominent at 4/4 for Autechre to probably
get away with. I think the fact that there are only 3 main
elements going on in the track, and of those 3 elements
there are not too many components/textures, that seems to be
the give away that it isnt autechre. Their "palette" for
lack of better words has been notoriously way more
diversified.

make these, who gave them to you first?

this is ridiculous.

a good leak is a whole album or at least a couple of whole
tracks with a good mixture of autechre imitation and novelty
to keep the gullible peeps guessing

cx, you need to ged rid of the synth in the first sample.
Dont bother improving the second one, heh

I'm sure anyone could make a convincing Autechre leak if
they really tried hard enough. Ae's strength is their
ability to really grasp fundamentals and run with them.
They really understand the Ockham Razor principle it seems.
Least effort with the greatest amount of impact too. I
would bet as they keep working, their process becomes more
efficient (more simple?) in ways, while the output sounds
more complex. Shit, they dont even use VSTs. Think how
many electronic musicians out there would be shit if it
wasnt for their dbGlitch, Buffer Override, Supa Trigga, and
wank-a-bater2000 plugins.

how do you know they dont use vst's?

and you make it seem like vst's are a bad thing or
something, technically any source of sound is a GOOD thing.

1) If I recall correctly, they said it in an interview once.
If I'm wrong, disregard this whole post I guess..

2) I'm not saying VST's are bad per se. I'm just saying
that a lot of people rely on them to the point that they are
playing their effects more than composing interesting
sounds, musical relationships, etc. It's impressive that
Autechre, as unprecedented in what they do, is doing it
without them.
