well at least there aren't as many whining bitches about how
fakes are 'wrong' this time around. glad some things have
changed in 4 years

Could this statement be a fake from Autechre themselves?
OMG, that would be so meta.

to those who actually sort of like the fakes:

here's the real guy.

I know what is good when I hear it because I'm a REAL fan
unlike the rest of you suckers. And I will use any occasion
to show you how right I am and how wrong YOU are.

Greetings from the morally anal.

PS.: will you PLEASE listen to my real music? I'm a little
bit frustrated that you guys only buy Aphex-farts and not
listen to my fantastic tunes.
PPS.: you still suck!

so what if i dont have patience to wait for the actual
release... id feel just as rewarded if i got a hold of it
tomorrow. Getting excited over a leak does not make anyone
any less of an ae fan.

I have almost every single song theyve ever made...even
compilations. Does that make me more of a fan than someone
who has only their LPs? no. People really need to get off
their high horses...too many cynical fucks on here

offline RandySicko from United States on 2010-01-23 03:03 [#02361307]

Im so glad its proved to be fake though... i wouldn't want
to and couldn't immerse myself 100% into a new ae release
until i knew it was totally legit... it just wouldn't feel
right otherwise. At least we got some cool new tunes to
keep us occupied for a bit while we wait for rob and sean to
show everyone how it's done.

offline RandySicko from United States on 2010-01-23 03:05 [#02361308]

Im talking about me figuratively....as in all people who get
excited over a leak. I guess I didnt make that clear
enough. im not taking anything as a personal attack.

But really, people need to lighten up.

everyone here and watmm with the exception of a few, suck

sarcasm, wannabe wittiness and general arrogance.

Let's not kid ourselves here, if Altered:Carbon hadn't
pulled this "leak" it would have happened regardless.
Someone else would have done it.

offline Fernz from A Scottish Wanker (United Kingdom) on 2010-01-23 08:08 [#02361347]

I mean there were already some fake tracks going around by
others.

offline cx from Norway on 2010-01-23 08:12 [#02361348]

listening to and creating fakes is part of the autechre
release spirit.
i just wish people were better at it, but that goes to show
nobody can really duplicate their sound.

offline gl0tch from www.gl0tch.com     on 2010-01-23 08:27 [#02361351]
Points: 2708 Status: Lurker

This will probably piss people off...

"[Not to] sound selfish and entirely fucked up, but the
Altered:Carbon "experiment" might have just fucked up our
chances of actually hearing a proper leak any time soon.
It's everywhere now (not on What.cd anymore though!).
Hundreds of blogs are still hosting and/or linking out to it
as its the real thing, despite there being suitable amounts
of comments claiming its fake. Now, when Oversteps actually
does come out or leaks, these "outlets" are going to be less
concerned with sharing the real thing.

Good thing from an industry stand point, bad thing for those
hoping to have the release sooner than later. "

of course it's fake - besides the obvious non-autechre sound
there is a cheap reaktor 5 preset in st epreo which i rather
assume rob and sean wouldn't use.

offline MASUGNEN from Lund (Sweden) on 2010-01-23 10:03 [#02361367]

Terence Hill believes Nostradamus, or – as he calls the
prophet – Nostradamy. He here refers to the legend of
Hister. And Glûtch is Sauronic.

just make your bum itch?

It seems as though Flueorescent Grey subscribes to the
Venetian Snares' style naming system - the longer the name
is, the more self-referential and hip they get.

Imagine having sex with him, imagine him sweating over you
as you could almost see his exposed, febrile scrots
whorling, sending fartic pulses to his modded MySpace brain
suggesting "hey, work this into your new CDR", and, as he
strides towards climax, you successfully will yourself dead.
