I would like to hear something like this. Something mixing ghostly twisted human samples and evolving noise breaks. Love the contrast and think this is one of Autechre's hidden gems. Different from their other, but still sounds very much like them. Couldnt find a non-audiosurf video. |

the translation is fucked, Berlin radio station Fritz will apparently play some Oversteps tonight. The DJ (Thaddeus) says in comments that it'll be later on in the show as the album is "extremely calm, almost baroque in parts". that's what it says there at least, don't hold me responsible :D the show starts at midnight german time (5 hours 40 minutes from now) and will last until 5am. |

So Oversteps is not an ambient album that is rhythmic, but possibly lacking percussive elements. Sounds like the boys may have invented a new genre. That, or Tim Hecker is a new member of the band. |
