i hear ballack said he rather play crappy and win, than play
good and lose.
i have a feeling today might be the other way around.
anyway good luck for today, i would like to watch good
finals so i wish germany wins today

referees would get excluded
hehe

korea is a nice team, now I am serious, they play very
offensive...always with lots of strikers... I like them...
but I think they are worse than germany so they might
loose... I think

I want Korea to win
but If Germany wins I get £20 (€40)
cos I bet on them to reach the final @ 10-1
Good odds considering they always seem to linger despite not
being very 'good'

hey sine I said: "I am with germany for the first time in my
life"
understand, you germans always win everything... but now I
want you to win again... cos at least you have usually won
under fairplay

"actually 3 of the korean goals wont even be goal but the
referee will kick the ball into the net . the other two will

be two penalty kicks (non existing penalty) that the referee

will have to make them kick twice each one as the koreans
will fail their first attempt.

germany will score 6 times... but 3 of them will be annuled

by off side (non existing) 2 of them will be annuled by a
previous non existing fault and the other one will be
annuled cos someone frome the audience shouts too much while

they scored the goal.
"

You're a crack up Nacmat :) - that would be quite something
if that actually did happen :)

I dunno, i think it would in a way be suitable if Germany
won - how long can Korea's over-achieving roll go on for? If
anything Germany has been severly under-achieving ..

Still Hiddink vs Völler - I'd have to back Hiddink (sos
Sine :) .. but we'll see what happens.

But more importantly, I hope that the ref (and linesmen -
who have actually caused the most of the heart ache) has/ve
a good game. ?!

I was thinking today it would have been quite interesting if
ireland won - IRELAND and KOREA seem to have a similar sort
of approach, not very strong infront of goal, but they go
till the very last minute.

SWEDEN TURKEY also would have been quite a good match to
watch.

needless to say - the best possible match of them all would
have to have been ITALY SPAIN!!!

yeah, I know what you mean. I wasn't intending to tick you
off nac, you know, this is the first time since 1990 where
we are playing the semi-finals. ;)
IMO we played horrible but lucky matches so far (thanks to
Kahn), but it would be good to see us playing good this time
:)

But...
I wouldn't be that pissed if the Koreans win, they are
fighters and fair-players IMO, I'd be happy for Korea :)

and I was honest when I said I with spain :)

I'll support Germany but I hope that they will leave the
field first of the end if referees will deny other regulars
goal to them. It would be a strong signal for FIFA, BLATTER
and KOREA.

Anyway I think that the referee of today are expert and
especially european, so probably today for the firs timet
will win the best, that would be Germany.

:) worries nacmat - that was quite a match (in english
soccer history anyway) the germany - england that went to
penalties . 4:3 to germanyif i remember correctly?

nacmat, i'm sure italy-spain would been really a great
regular match between 2 strongs team. It was my dream...
Raul, Morientes, Luis Enrique, Puyol against Vieri, Totti,
Del Piero, Nesta, etc...

btw: I was very impressed about Puyol, he's a great player
imo. Milan would like to buy him but you and barcellona
wouldn't be very happy, i think...

New Zeland played in the world cup 1982 but it wasn't lucky.
I remember a bad match angainst Hungary finished 10-1, if i
remember well, but he was last team from oceania to get
qualification to world cuo in the last year, isn't it?

i liked also casillas, a young goal keep but really good. He
could have a great future in Spain.

How did you see valeron in this world cup?

offline korben dallas from nz on 2002-06-25 11:25 [#00284284]
Points: 4605 Status: Regular

That's right Woofer!

a 5-2 loss to scotland and a 3-0 loss to Brazil I think (i
thought the other 3rd game was against columbia - but i
could be wrong) ..

Quite funny - here in nz they have been repeating those two
goals - our moment of glory! Questions about the funding of
sport etc. has been asked - "will we ever be able to take
part in this wonderful cup?" Typical NZ .. all or nothing.

I think for Germany 2006 one from Oceania is guaranteed -
most probably Australia (who almost got in this time if it
wasn't for a 3-0 loss to uruguay in Montevideo) - they won
2-1 i think in Oz.

STill here in NZ there isn't much of a soccer culture -
still very much a Rugby/Cricket culture

spanish football that could be great has raul?

Ireland !! Indeed a great future ahead of him!

Haha.. who knows - there were plenty of surprises in this
cup?

:)

It partially is down to funding - while its the most popular
sport for young kids - its no. 8 in terms of funding
priority - the big 7 are ones that get most of the money.

We need to send our kids to Europe - or develop a scene
here/australia - that will take time:)

But cheers for your comments.

Portugal 2004 is shaping up to be a killer of a competition!
So many european teams (lets hope not to add Germany to this
list) have a point to prove (france, nl, portugal, italy &
spain - and perhaps to a lesser extent sweden & denmark,
belgium - shit that would be a killer comp). :)

casillas is great (20 years and two champions leagues)

valeron could have done better... though camcho changed him
out against korea when in my opinion he was doing well

joaquin (20 years) he is great by the right line... he will
be a very good player

there is another one : "vicente" from valencia he is like
joaquin but by the left... I imagine :

vicente..... raul.... joaquin

for next eurocup, with helguera, puyol...

My only one doubt: Germany played better than Italy and
Spain?
